For those that have an interview date, is it safe to assume Missouri is done processing our case? Can we still expect RFEs? I know at the interview they can ask for more evidence... just curious since so many new filers have had RFEs for lost medicals.

I filed for AOS and EAD on April 2, 2007. I received two NOAs dated April 12, 2007. My fingerprints were taken on May 5.

Today, I received a letter saying that they are unable to process my AOS case within 90 days, and that I have an option to apply for EAD. They even set up an appointment for me to submit my EAD application. Well, then what the heck happened to the application that I have submitted over 2 months ago? Did they lose it? Did they ignore it?

The letter says:

Dear Applicant, We have initiated the process to complete your I-485, Application to Register Permanent Resident or Adjust Status. Unfortunately, it does not appear that the Service will be able to complete your case within 90 days. You are eligible to apply for Employment Authorization and/or Advance parole. You may do so by coming to 8101 N. Stemmons Freeway with a completed I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and/or the I-131, Application for Travel Document with the appropriate fees. Once inside the building, report to Window #1. Upon acceptance of the I-765, you will receive a notice to go to the local application support center for biometrics. You must attend the appointment at the ASC in order to capture the necessary data to produce the card. Once the ASC appointment has been completed, the employment card will be ordered and you will receive the document by mail within ten days. The I-131, Travel document will be produced at the local office. You scheduled appointment date and time is July 2, 2007, 6 am to 6:30 am. You may pay with cashiers check or money order, but if you wish to pay with money order, it is recommended that you do not complete the payee portion until the officer has instructed you to do so during your appointment. The required forms can be located at the service web site. Signed Angela K. Barrows, District Director.

So, what the heck do they mean? I have already filed my I-765, received my NOA, and got my fingerprints taken. Do they even bother to look at that stuff, or do they generate this generic letter? Also, the letter says that I should get my EAD within 10 days of getting my fingerprints taken. Well, mine were done over a month ago. Does it mean that I can take this letter to my infopass appointment and ask for the EAD card, since it's been more than 10 days?

"Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) (first time & renewals)

If at any point in the DORA Pilot process it is determined that your case cannot be completed within 90 days, you will be sent additional instructions on what to do/expect next. You will be scheduled to receive your card within 90 days. If for some reason you have not received your employment card after 90 days, you come in person With an INFOPASS appointment to check the status of the application. If you are renewing your EAD card, the above still applies."

I don't know about the DORA's pilot process, but there must be some technical screw-ups, but if it's any consolation I hear your frustration and confusion. There is only one way to find out what has happened, go to your infopass appt. and take that letter with you along the other pertinent supporting docs/proofs that you filed I-765. Good luck!

I got my Advance Parole Document Production ordered e-mail today morning.

Congrats Vijay!!!

I am looking like crazy everyday in the USCIS website so see if my I765 and I131 are touch........this is crazy....

Questions:

- I did my biometrics on 6/13. On 6/14 i got my case on the web updated. Does it mean it was "touched"?

- how long (estimated) does it take to get the EAD after the biometrics?

- and how long (estimated) it is supposed to take for the i485 interview?

- is any april filer already with a GC in his/her hands?

- besides that, is there anyone in Charlotte that is more or less doing the same than me? Biometrics/AOS?

I am fine. I thought I was going to get nervous waiting for stuff to come over the mail..to be honest...I REALLY need the money but i know that we all can get jobs more or less easily so i prefer to finish enjoying my vacations :) I went yesterday to an interview, and as our Argentinean culture forces you to do the work of 2 or 3 people for the salary of 1/2 I think that i am going to get something soon. At least on IT it seems that the market here is doing good. I only need to remake my resume..again :-/

Good luck to everybody. Have a nice weekend!
