Since I live near the DC-Metro area, there are lot of people immigrating around here, and the timeline for an interview would probably be well over a year, so taking my chances with CSC is most likely faster than waiting for an interview in DC.

Hahaha! I've decided that I don't want to go to CSC! We'll start the campaign FOR interviews! Everyone used to think that CSC transfers were good!

Cuz it seems like it is much faster to have an interview and be approved than to wait for CSC to process everything and approve, even without interview.

It was a smoth process. I was in the place 30 minutes prior to my appointment, but I get a data sheet immediately. they wait 9 turns.

-all the fingerprints and 1 photo

and I was out in about 20 minutes!

Mine went really quick on Friday as well- there were only 4 people waiting in the office and all of the staff were really friendly!

Mine will be in June 13rd here in Charlotte.

My appointment says that the biometrics are for i485 and i765. I hope I can get my employment authorization soon!

Just a thought, but of you that have been sent to CSC, did you also have an EAD attached?

Personally, if I was setting policy, I would want to streamline K immigrants that were wanting to work before for those that were not going to work (immediately). Of course, thats too logical for our government.

I didn't apply for EAD with my AOS, but it wasn't because I didn't want to work!! I am dying to work, however I didn't feel comfortable shelling out the money for the EAD application when I could potentially get the Green Card before it was approved. Granted, I am taking a big chance, but the lack of an EAD application doesn't mean I don't want to work.

I don't think you can make a judgement call about someone's want/need to work purely based on whether they applied for EAD or not. Everyone has a different siutation.

I agree...the $180 for EAD is a potential waste. Many people are getting GCs in three months time. Why waste the $180?

According to several websites and timelines I looked, Orlando Office is processing applications from 6 months ago, but I still took the risk and didn't apply for EAD either... and we happen to be one of the first ones (from the april filers list) to get an interview appt. Also, I sent photos, copy of our lease, and other evidence, so I wonder if that helped our case move quicker. My wife's friend also got married and applied 1 month before we did and she still hasn't received an interview letter.

All I did was ask the question: Do you think the CSC transfers are due to an attached EAD. No one responded. I was just wondering.

And $180 is an "insurance premium", not a "potential waste". What percent are getting GC in 3 months? 4 months? 6 months? Maybe to some people the "premium" is just a day's wages or less...........

Being that our biometrics were so close, I have an eye on you to see when you get your interview or CSC transfer. I noticed that many of the April filers before me have gotten notice of an interview or transfer, lets hope this is the week for some Seattle action! I am so impatient...
