Just a quicky question for txgirl75, did you ever get notification that your case was transferred to the local service centre prior to receiving the interview date?

Hi Misa,

I didn't get any notification at all, I have the profile on UCSIC and according to that we haven't been touched since 4-30 (for I485) and 4-25 (for I130). We did our biometrics and the lad who did it said "In about 3 months you'll get an appointment letter" and that was it. No email,letter,update at all.

Am I supposed to have had my NOA2 yet?

Ah interesting. I only just noticed you adjusted from another type of visa (not K1 or K3). Not sure how that works with the I-130 if they approve it before or during your interview for the I-485.

Hey! Another one here! I sent my forms on May 01! See my timeline. No luck with the case numbers in the back on the checks (online bank) so I'm waiting for the NOA1 of each forms. I have an appointment on May 17 (Infopass) for an emergeny AP.

I-130 is approved at the interview.

Actually you can find a lot of users in the forum that has the petition approved without interview. Just take a look. Maybe their profiles or something give to the USCIS a light to approve those petitions without interview.

As some of you know, ours has been a tough journey with USCIS. We had the I-130 interview separately, and were told that since the officer was fairly new at interviewing and the fact that my husband was in removal proceedings, that they would "presume" the marriage was not bona fide. I had 2, 6 inch thick legal files as proof of our relationship, our responses to questions matched up, we had 5 notarized letters from people confirming our bona fide relationship. They'd apparently called family members just before our interview to question the validity of our marriage, etc. (I found this out after the fact). Because of the removal proceeedings, we had to do what is called a 'two-step I-485', so we have to go back to immigrations offices for further processing, but all looks well. We can't get the stamp until the removal is officially cancelled, so I'm still in the waiting game with all of you.

We really need the stamp so my husband can work. He's so bored at home, and my children have even nicknamed him "Mr. Clean". No complaints from me--I'm really liking having a clean house and dinner on the table when I walk in the door!

Hey, icyshadesofblue, congrats on getting through the first steps. Hope that they cancel the removal proceedings soon so he can get his greencard and temp stamp!
