Just now having time to give an update on here. Biometrics appt went really well after we found the place! (Why do they have to be located in obscure places?)

Anyway, the folks running the place were very friendly and we didn't have to wait too long....about 20 minutes.

I suppose this is the same place where the interviews are conducted? Hope so...I know where it is now. lolol

LOL.. it is true. The office here in Orlando, is inside a business complex and it has NO signs at ALL of where the actual office is. And it is a complex with well over 150 offices... you have to drive around until you find it and of course, it is in the very back and it faces the opposite side of the road. So not only it is in the back, but it is also behind. lol if that makes sense...

I'm hoping we get our biometrics soon. I know not to get frustrated and it's been 10 days since NOA but still...

Also, irishgirl73 had her biometrics yestreday. I PM her on Monday and she posted elsewhere about it. That can be updated here.

Also, do i need to change my lastname to my husband's family name when filling out the forms? We have our marrieage certificate already. Just got married last April 28 and my I-94 will expire on June 11. Thank you i advance

Hey Danielle,

Your A-# should be listed on your Approval notice for the K1 (in the Beneficiary column, above your name). If it's not there, you can check your K1 visa itself. It is a 9 digit number (i.e. A0XX XXX XXX).

As for your name change, do you plan on taking his name? If you are, then you should put his name down on the forms. If it asks for your maiden name somewhere else on the form, then put it down. I got my SSN in my married name with no issues. I brought the SSN guide from this website printed out (so they could reference it at the SS office if needed), my passport with my K1 & I-94, my marriage certificate, birth certificate, drivers license...basically anything that would show my identity!

Sure guys! I went to the appointed place, went in and asked the lady agent if I can have my appontment date changed to a later date (not sooner) since I have a medical appointment same day that I cannot simply miss or resched (some eye surgery). The lady asked for my doctor's name, hospital (I showed her my medical card too) and my biometrics notice and she talked with her boss. After a few minutes (I don't know if they confirmed something or not), she said they can do my biometrics that day than later. I went with the flow and got lucky I guess.

Still no biometrics. I called USCIS and they said I'll get a letter in the mail. The good thing is they answered the phone on one ring and I didn't need to be on hold forever. At least something it improving.

In the meantime, as Squeeze sings: "seemed like I'd wait forever playing the waiting game."
