Hey all! Just wondering if anyone else in this thread is adjusting from VWP? :) I am! Just curious as to whether this affects case processing at all? I submitted a SR on 27 July (which was day 102) and was told I'd get a response today but haven't heard anything...and I'm seeing that a lot of people did several SR's with no response. Starting to go crazy wahhhh! Makes me optimistic seeing lots of progress in people's cases though :)

Hi Lirnos

I adjusted from a VWP and filed on May 15th, I still have not heard anything at all about my EAD or AOS but I do see a few people getting RFE, I did. Crossing my fingers for my EAD soon as I'm on my 85th day.

@MAYNYCFiler2017 Here are the new card designs, as released by USCIS on their Twitter account. The photo posted by another user is the old design.

Hope this helps.

Hehe you're welcome :)

You're right! I'm expecting for the card to be mailed out to me by Tuesday and receive it by Saturday (latest next Monday) ^_^

Yessss I hope this week is your week, it has to be!!!!:dancing: Ohhh yes, that's exactly what the officer at the InfoPass appointment told me. She even told me the day that my case was passed to the 'adjudication stage'. From that day to the day I received the status update, 15 days have passed. Did the officer on the phone tell you when your case was passed to the adjudication stage?

Hey Flower1,

120 days as of today :clock:!! My case was with an adjudicator last Wednesday. I'm so tired of waiting .

Did they mail you your card ? I'm trying to find out how long it takes from the date the card is being produced til you receive it!

@ExieLeen I got the old one, too, but it's okay. Maybe our GCs will be of new design, 😆. Congrats to you and your wife! 🙂

Hahah - yes very helpful! :P

Yeah I'm totally prepared for that but not worried at all as my hubby and I are very much a bona fide couple :) But just wondered if anyone else on here was filing from VWP as it'll be interesting to see if anything is different.  Thanks for your reply and let me know if you hear anything back from your SR :D

I'm guessing the main difference from VWP and K1 adjusters is the possibility for an interview wavier. If you adjust from an F1, J1, VWP, etc, you'll most likely get an interview. Not so much for K1's, from what I've read here on VJ.

We were able to somehow get an Infopass appointment tomorrow. I hope we get a better answer than we got with the SR. Wish us luck!

How do you know that? Did you file an SR? I'm curious because yesterday's response to my SR was that the case was under review. They didn't mention anything about an adjudicator.

Hi Narakthisud!

I put a SR on July 31st ( this is my second one). Received a message August 2nd saying "Your case is under review, you will receive a decision or notice of action shortly." I then called USCIS to speak with a Tier2 officer who told me my case was with an adjudicator and that I will receive an answer any time soon. The problem is that usually "soon" mean 30 days for them..l.

I know! I wish they would just say 60 days or 30 days or whatever. "Soon" for me means "next week." Ugh.

Exactly !! Soon is definitely NOT 30 days! Hopefully we'll hear something in the next coming days.

A+S! ufffff this sucks!!! I was hoping you'd hear back by now! I know it's frustrating, but it's just a matter of days!! Hang in there!!

I haven't received any update - my status still says 'Your card is being produced' I thought they'd mail it by now lol - I guess this is going to take longer than expected lol. I'll definitely tell you as soon as the status changes!

We received the new card as well from the NSC. i did and google image search.  Ours looks exactly like the attached picture.

EAD-new-design-front.jpg

That's the old design. The new design looks like this (the USCIS twitter post)

The new EAD design has the photo's on both the front and back, there is a bald eagle on the front, and the words (Employment Authorisation) are on the top-left corner.

EDIT: Damn, I just noticed someone beat me to it xD

It's all good!  The pic I posted I thought was the latest because story behind it on USCIS website had the date of May 1, 2017.  However, I failed to see the disclaimer at the top of the page that said that content may be archived material but is kept on the page for reference.  Glad there are a lot of people on here that have more accurate information than I do! :).

Congrats to all those who have received their EADs, scheduled for interviews and received their green cards. It's encouraging to see April filers making progress. :)

I had a question for all those waiting for their I-485 online status to change (for those of you who don't have interview dates yet): is there anyone still at "fingerprint fee received" or do all of you have it changed to "case ready to be scheduled for interview" ? I'm still on the former stage and it's past 120 days. :clock:

Hey gsedg44, ah well good luck! I filed on April 15th and also haven't heard anything re EAD or AOS :( All I've done is biometrics and my I-130 status is at 'interview is ready to be scheduled' as of June 21. I put a SR and was meant to hear something back yesterday but didn't. Where is your case being processed? Mine is National Benefits Center.
