Hi! Your timeline is almost exactly the same as mine, except I don't have the "interview ready to be scheduled" bit. But, a day or two ago I finally received notification that my EAD is on the way (I didn't submit a service request or anything).

Actually, I don't have much to add...just wanted to let you know our timelines are pretty close! I'm also hoping to get my AP soon so I can go home in December. Far off, but I like to be prepared.

All the best!

Hey Simone! Ah that's awesome, congrats! I'm hoping the SR I submitted yesterday will help my case along gahh the waiting is so frustrating at times! Did you apply for your AP at the same time as everything else? If so, pretty sure you'll get a combo card if they said your EAD is on the way :)

New card being produced!!!!! Finally after 113 days from PD. I have a question guys, do they automatically produce a combo card? I applied for I 131 as well but didn't get any update. And also, how long is the wait from card beindg produced to card was mailed?? Thank you!!

Congratulations!  Yes, you'll receive the combo card if you applied at the same time, as mentioned by another poster. My I-131 is still at "case received" although I received the approval notices for both EAD and AP, and subsequently the combo card a few weeks back. :D

Just checked on my wife's case status and, to my surprise, USCIS replied to the SR I entered earlier this week:

Quote

As of July 26, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR------------MSC, is currently not assigned for processing.

Based on what I've read here on VJ, that means it's not even in the queue to be processed yet. This is incredibly frustrating seeing as we're at day 105 which is average for EAD's these days. I guess I have to wait some more, eh?

Have others had any success with getting a member of Congress involved? I'm considering it at this point but I don't want to go through the trouble if USCIS is simply going to turn around give them the same answer they gave me.. which would, in the end, just frustrate me even further!

"New card being produced"! Thank you everyone for your guidance and for sharing your stories and your experiences. I got my congressman involved on Wednesday and today I received the confirmation. 106 days since my applications were received. Now it's up to the postal service! :D

Congrats! I received the same email today as well! Please keep me posted if it says the card was mailed!

It's my...lucky day?! I found 3 open time slots for an Infopass appointment in early August at an office near us so I booked one as fast as possible. Here's hoping we'll end up canceling the appointment due to USCIS approving my wife's EAD/AP card soon.

New card is being produced as of July 27, 2017. 2 SR and one congressional inquiry later. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting for their card. I know it's hard. I think the expedite process through the congressman office really works. You should try it, you have nothing to lose.

Hey guys, this is my interview experience:

07/27/2017 - 9am

A lady call us exactly at 9am, we went to the room and she started with the oath. Then she read the I-485 questions (yes or no questions). She asked my driver license (i gave her) and my EAD and I said that I didn't receive it yet. She asked if we had some other documents or pictures to give her and we did that. Then she asked about my parents who live in Brazil and about my previous marrige. She looked again all the documents she had in a yellow file and the asked me about my daughter's custody (she's 11). I answered that I hold her custody since ever because I got divorced couple months after she born. Then the lady asked me the document that proof I hold my daughter's custody. I explained her that I left the document in Brazil because I really don't need it as I have a good relationship with my ex-husband. The lady smiled and said "well I want that document". My attorney tried to bring an alternative to solve the issue but she didn't take it. To sum up she give us a RFE!?!?!?! She asked for my daughter's custody document and the deed of the house (that it's mine). She said she will hold our process till she receive the aditional documents.

I literally left the building holding my tears! I was so sad and disappointed because I never thought we could get a RFE during the interview! Especially because we sent to USCIS all the mandatory documents and all the documents the attorney asked us.

Anyway we already have the documents she asked us and we are going to send it to our attorney on Monday then we just need to wait, again :(

My advice: if you have kids don't forget their custody document (translated) even if that isn't mandatory! Try to bring to the interview ALL documents you have to avoid them find a way to delay or refuse your process!

PS: the agent made a personal comment frowning to the fact of my husband has two kids and had never being married (excuse me?)

My journey:

04/10/2017 - priority date

05/08/2017 - bio done

06/21/2017 - interview scheduled (07/27/2017)

07/24/2017 - EAD production

07/27/2017 - EAD mailed

07/27/2017 - interview date

07/27/2017 - RFE custody document of my daughter

BTW congrats to all who got their EAD or interview date!

Finally!! After 88 days and 2 service request, I got my biometrics appointment letter yesterday. The actual appointment isn't until the second week of August. But hopefully from now on my case will move a bit faster.

Amazing that it took them that long plus SR's just to get you a biometrics appointment! I can't imagine how frustrating that must be for you.

how was your interview , did u have one ? if so what did u take?

Yes I had an interview. It was super easy. You'll receive a letter which states what kind of documents you need to bring. It's basically originals of documents you sent in the i-485 application plus proof of your relationship (lease or mortgage, insurance, joint bank account).
