Hello folks

my case status has been at "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview...., that's about six weeks now, still no interview letter, and the status has not changed, has anyone else had this issue?

It can be several months before your interview is scheduled. That's not an issue at all.

look into your field offices processing times to see your predicted waiting time

hey @newbeginnings17 dont worry about it at all as its totally normal and since you are in Charlotte i would think you would hear news faster than people in Minneapolis or Houston or NYC... Like @p-ana said its quite normal to have to wait months after you get the status "ready to be scheduled for interview" for it to actually change to "your interview has been scheduled" and the actual time delay depends totally on your local USCIS office and how busy they are... Best of luck and hopefully your status will change soon enough...

just your typical immigrant LOL!!!

Timeline so far:

May 23rd    : Sent i-485, i-130&130A, i-131 and i-765 along with supporting documents at around 6PM via UPS next morning delivery.

May 31st    : 4 texts and emails NOAs for all the applications and signed up for case status account.

June 2nd    : NOAs in the mail.

June 9th     : Bio-metrics appointment notice dated June 2nd. Appointment scheduled for June 20th.

June 12th   : Bio-metrics done, Walked in with an infopass appointment that nobody asked for. They didn't even ask why i was coming in early.

The person who dealt with me was very nice and welcoming.

July 3rd       : At 11AM received an email saying your case status has changed to interview is scheduled for August 2nd...

August 2nd : Attended interview was approved on the spot... IO was nice professional and polite but not friendly...

August 10th : At 2PM received my Green card in the mail!!!!

Hey,

What is your timeline? I am from Charlotte, and It been 76 days pending

I've put a Service Request for my EAD, since it's been 100 days since my NOA1; should hear back by August 6th.

I'm concerned about my upcoming move. I live in the SF Bay Area, and once I get my EAD, I'm moving to LA for a new job. Will USCIS make sure all my upcoming interviews/etc happen at my new "home" location, once I update my address with them?

Hopefully. But never guaranteed. Keep an eye on the online case tracker and call them often to check.

How were you able to estimate when you'll hear back after putting a SR?

Hi flower1..

You live in Houston right? How were you able to schedule an infopass? I keep checking everyday, but I keep getting a response that says " no available date"..

Hi Omoba,

... We quit, there is not option to schedule an infopass here in Houston.

We are waiting on the congressman's help (if possible 😐)

I believe they give you an estimated reply date although I've seen on VJ that they often reply within 2-3 business days.

I'm about to put in my own SR (e-request) tomorrow if I don't see a case update tonight. Tomorrow marks 90 days post-NOA1 (4/27) and 105 days since they received my wife's paperwork (4/13).

After the SR goes through, the next web page shows you the estimated time they'll respond by.

Tanx!

My SR still shows "has not been assigned". It has been 12 days now since I did the SR thing

:time:

What is your NOA1 date? If it hasn't been 75 days since your NOA1 date, your case most likely won't be assigned for review since there are plenty others which are beyond that timeframe.

Hi Omoba

I don't live in Texas - I just checked the InfoPass website for the Houston office and yes, it looks like there are no available slots over the next 2 weeks. Then, I searched and found this website specifically for the Houston Office: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/texas-houston-field-office

Under the 'Visiting the Office' section it says the following:

In order to visit this office or to speak with an Immigration Services Officer, you must have an appointment scheduled by USCIS, or you must schedule an INFOPASSappointment, on the USCIS website.  You may also schedule an INFOPASS appointment at our office utilizing our INFOPASS kiosks located in the waiting room lobby.

Maybe it's worth going to the office and check with the officers there - if you decide to do this, make sure to bring your ID and letters from USCIS showing the Case Number etc.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi all

Thought I would update you on my situation. I am at 100 and something (i chose not to count the days anymore as it gives me anxiety). I put in a SR on the phone with a tier 2 officer to expedite my EAD on the basis of financial loss and having a job offer. I got all those notifications on the uscis website that the request has been assigned to an officer so I'm expecting something in the mail about that. In the meantime, today I visited my congressman's office in NYC with the same request, plus a cover letter and a copy of the job offer. They said they will reach out to USCIS today and ask for a "fair consideration" of my request. He told me it's always a 50/50 chance to get it approved. I'm not getting my hopes up, but keeping my fingers crossed I get a positive response.

Good luck to everyone still waiting!
