I don't know.. it's just disappointing to receive this type of service.

One thing that was strange is she was talking about something I didn't even ask about. She started telling me about the processing time and that they don't look at the days anymore like 75 days, 90 days, 100 days. She went on to say that they are currently looking at March 2nd cases so that is 1 month away from the day i filed. I stopped her there and told her 'I saw that on the website, but it's true as of the 31st of May" - she just said 'right, but we are still looking at those cases'.. which is not true since most March filers have already received their EAD... anyway, I wish I spoke to someone else that was actually willing to help instead of receiving that rubbish treatment from her.

This is unbelievable!

It's not like this service is free. We've spent lots of money to get the documents processed in a timely manner to live a normal life with our spouse and family so the least they could do (especially since they are not meeting their own processing time) is to be respectful to the applicants over the phone. I wasn't even complaining... i just needed to know what the 'a response was sent' was all about!!! and after waiting over an hour for a call back, I still don't have an answer to my question, and this is not fair!<_< sorry I'm a bit frustrated... lol

Couldn't agree more! I'd rather have someone say "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" instead of giving false information that directly contradicts USCIS's own web site. I dread the day that I have to call them. I'm so glad the e-Request system exists so I don't have the absolute pleasure of speaking with them.

Customer service is an art form and not everybody has the skill to do it in a way that is both competent and pleasing to the people they are serving... One would hope, considering the costs of going through these processes, that they would hire people who are better at their jobs and give them better info to work with, but apparently this is the world we live in and that's the level of service we can expect, I'm just glad that their customer service is slightly better than the lady who works for national grid that I had to deal with, who pretended not to understand me coz she didn't know the answers to my questions lol... Anyways, I ended up having to spend over an hour on the phone with her just to get the call transferred to her superior who had no trouble understanding me nor answering my questions... Hopefully it gets better over time and we wont have to deal with the same level of incompetency when we have to do this all over again for ROC or Citizenship... Of all the wrong things she said/did to you @Flower1, I think the worst was talking over you before hanging up, that sort of behavior, especially coming from someone who is essentially paid to talk to you, is what gets me really angry... Well, no use thinking about it too much and getting worked up... Hoping and praying that your situation gets sorted out soon, without anymore need to contact them... my thoughts and prayers are with you...

just your typical immigrant LOL!!!

Nikaero, you made me giggle when you talked about the lady at the national grid pretending not to understand you because she didn't know the answer to your question lol... I bet it must've been frustrating - but I'm glad you managed to get your call transferred to her superior!

Yess, I'm already not thinking about it anymore ^_^ I just hope to receive some good news soon on the EAD by early next week, fingers crossed! and thank you! :)

Hi guys, I've been checking this forum everyday to get some information and track other applicant's timeline... Here's mine.

PD 04/06/17

Bio 05/19/17

RFE 05/25/17

USCIS received rfe on 06/20/17

Requested to expedite I765 07/07/17

So on July 7th I called USCIS to have my I765 expedited. I got a job offer and the start date was supposed to be on July 18th which already passed😔 I needed the job so bad because me and my family are going to lose our company housing if I don't start soon and my husband might lose his job too. (our situation is a little complicated) I personally went to the congressman's office on July 11th, hoping they would be able to help expedite the case. Gave all the needed evidence ( job offer letter, all the NOA's, and the privacy realease form) they sent it to USCIS the same day. July 14th I called USCIS to ask what is going on with my expedite request, (my history says it has been completed by an officer but I didn't get anything on the mail, no text or anything) they said it is under review and will receive a decision shortly. I called the congressman's office the same day as well but they told me they haven't heard anything back yet either. From then on started to lose hope. This whole process is so stressing and frustating. Waking up every morning expecting a text or email. But nothing. I was supposed to go back to my home country for my sister's wedding but obviously its not going to happen.😔 It's been two weeks since I request for expedite. I just stopped checking my email and just wait. I just hope the rest of us waiting in vain will hear some good news soon!

LOL yeah it was frustrating... I also made a point to mention to the superior that I was treated badly by the lady I talked with before and he said he would review the tape and see what action can be taken... I am not a vindictive person normally but seemed like she was having fun frustrating me lol...

It's good that you have put it out of your mind... fingers crossed for you... Good luck!!!

I'm going to have a serious chat with my current manager, and basically beg them to let me keep L1-A status, until I return from my brother's wedding mid-September. I can't lose my new job offer, since the money is insanely better, and the position itself is just a blessing.

These damn delays are absolute insanity.

So i finally got to talk to my congressman rep today.. To my utmost surprise, she made me understand they don't interfere with the process, that I should be patient.. I even went on to explain to her that other congressmen help people within their jurisdiction to make enquiries about their work card, she told me that they are different from others..

Now I'm trying to schedule an infopass but it looks like there is no available date.

Hello Omoba,

Who is your congressman?

Mine -according to my location in SE Houston- is Pete Olson. Today I will fill out a form to provide my details since I reached 100 days waiting on my EAD.
