Scroll down and you will see the form you need to fill out and there will be a green SUBMIT button at the end of the page. Good luck!

Hello all,

Day 102 or 103 today with no RFE/RFIE, and I have just successfully submitted my first Service Request for EAD. Confirmation page says I should expect a reply by July 26. I am fervently praying that it doesn't take that long for them to process and work on my SR. 🙏🏼

Thank you, @Ninatica and @gray_cat

Heya, I just submitted a SR too and received the same 'response by' date! Hopefully we hear some good news next week!! ^_^

I am wondering, is there a tool to track the status of SRs? Or should we just wait for emails and/or letters? Good luck to us and our SRs! 🙏🏼

You can sign up on the USCIS My Case webpage and you will be able to see the status of your SR. For example, for me it says that the request is currently not assigned for processing.

No problem. Here it is:

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt

It is very straight-forward. Just make sure you have your EAD Receipt Number and A-number ready as the form seems to expire a bit faster than normal. 🙂

PM me if you need help with the form.

😐😐😐😐😐😐 since I called 2 days ago I'd should receive any action within 30 days:

Existing Inquiry Found

We have located a previously submitted inquiry with confirmation number (T1F1931702572MSC) for the same issue. You may not submit a new inquiry at this time. You can expect to receive a response to your previous inquiry within 30 days of the date your inquiry was submitted. If you do not receive a response within 30 days, a new inquiry can be submitted at that time or you may call USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY). You will need to provide the inquiry confirmation number when you call.

ow, I'm sorry you couldn't submit the online request :(

I'm sure we will receive updates regardless of the SR over the next couple of weeks. Especially, since 2 members on here that applied a week before us now had their EAD approved, so we are very close to the approval stage.

this is the reason why so many people get some much needed help on this forum answers like this explain the processing much better than one could understand from most websites online as these come from people actually going through the process at the same time as the people reading the posts(for the most part)... Thanks again for everyone of you who has made this process that much easier for me and a lot of other people to tackle...

just your typical immigrant LOL!!!

I have no SS# yet, that's mandatory for the driver's license.

I got married before asking for SS# 😐

This is what you find in the DPS website:

Individuals who do not have a SSN, have never been issued a SSN, or are not eligible for a SSN can visit any driver license office and complete an affidavit attesting to such. That should take care on the SSN requirement. The rest if you are interested I can explain you how to do it.

Congrats! :D

Congrats! They didn't update my AP status either, even they mailed approval NOAs for both and the card also says the same i.e. it serves as AP.

I'm pretty sure they accidentally updated your AP status instead of EAD. Their online system is clunky. :D Hopefully you'll be receiving the combo card soon. :)

Thank you 😊

Good luck! I received an answer to my SR 2 hours after my EAD was approved, so it might have had an influence, who knows. Hope it works for you and get it soon!

Heya sorry I wanted to point out something - I got married before asking for my SS#. Getting married before asking for the SS# is no problem at all (at least speaking from my personal experience).

The guideline just says to wait at least 2 weeks (or 10 business days) from entering the country before applying for the SS# so that the Social Security Administration office will have you on their system by then.

Anyway, you will soon be able to apply for your SS# once you get your EAD :)

Good morning Flower!

I arrived 3/18, got married 4/7 (since the Court House had any available space before), submitted AOS/EAD/SO 4/11.

On 4/14 we went to SS Office (Southeast Houston) and they said that since I had gotten married I'd should wait for my EAD to as for SS#

Good morning Ninatica!!

O wow really? I wonder if that was just an incompetent person. I remember reading different stories of people running into incompetent employees - so when I went to the Social Security Admin Office I made sure to bring with me a copy of a document from their own website where it says that K-1 visa holders are 'legal aliens allowed to work'. Luckly, I didn't need it and didn't have to explain anything. I have a feeling that because you were a spouse of a US citizen, they categorized you as someone with a K-3 visa because they can only get the SSN once they receive their EAD.

It's ok though, finally this long wait for the EAD is coming to an end soon!!
