April 2017 AOS Filers

Package was delivered on April 6th, still waiting for check to get cashed. Very annoying how long this process is taking considering I sent the package initially back in February and was lost by USPS.

How did you get the state id? i mean what did you provide ?

Went to my local RMV, filled out ID card application. I provided my birth certificate for proof of DOB, passport for proof of signature, mail correspondence from bank for proof of address/residence and my SSN.

Is the state ID in your maidden name or married name ? Well i guess each state has different requirements, Im in texas and i read on their website that i needed at least an EAD.

Anybody here who has this same experience? If so, did you do anything to retrieve the letter? I am slighty stressed due to this missing AOS NOA1 hard copy letter. From what I have been told, I must have a copy of it with me whenever I go out.

UPDATE: I-485 NOA1 letter found today outside our mailbox. It was probably inserted to a wrong mailbox yesterday. 🙂 I hope this won't happen again in the future as the next updates are more important. 🙏🏼

State ID in my married name. Applied for it after I got my updated SSN to married name.

I filed the AOS-AP and EAD forms last week, they were delivered on 04/13.

The money has not been cashed yet, how many days should we wait for receiving any confirmation from USCIS?

The receipt # that we received for K1 application is not the same receipt # for AOS, so there is no way to check where in the world my pkg is? Mailed AOS April 3rd 2017

Hi there! When you mailed your AOS packet, did you have tracking number given to you? If you do, you can look it up to see where your package is now. AOS receipt # is different from your K1 receipt number. You cannot check it at the USCIS website unless you have your AOS receipt #.
