Even though the bio letter doesn't mention to bring it, its important to have it with you because its the proof of legal name change, if you had your name changed of course, and spare you the time waisting in the manager's office for a name check. Hahaha yes it's for everyone adjusting from marriage based.

Someone on this forum has mentioned that she was not asked for her marriage certificate even though her passport is still  in her maiden name. I, for one, was asked to present mine due to the last name disparity on my passport and on my bio letter.

So I think the process depends on the ASC location and its employees. The best answer, for me, is to bring the marriage certificate. It is like a condom; better to have one and not need it than not have one and need it. 😀

Hello @emchappie! Welcome! I am also following the March filers forum. It is a busy one as they are now starting to receive updates on their applications. 😆

Yeah there is quite a bit going on with the ones who filed at the beginning of February, but it means the process is moving, so it wont be long before the April filers start getting the same notifications

Hi @emchappie! It's good to see you here again. I used to be a March filer, but USCIS had rejected my application, and I resent it nearly towards the end of April. So I guess I belonged to both forums lol. The March filers have been receiving good vibes; I hope we will be next :D

heyyy :) yes I remember you posting on the March group about your situation :( I hope you've had a more positive journey since re-sending.

Hopefully I can bring some of the positive vibes from the March group to the April group, thats pretty much all I do, spread positivity. :)

Sent my letter to reschedule my biometrics appointment last Tuesday. According to the tracking it was delivered on Friday and "Left with individual", whatever that means... I really hope they got it and were able to reschedule it by now, because my original appointment is tomorrow. Does anyone know what happens if you don't show up to your appointment?

Thanks Ninatica :)

It was a very pleasant experience! All the staff were extremely nice and friendly at the San Antonio office, and I was in and out within 20 minutes.

I hope all goes well for you tomorrow! :)

Hello!

My biometric appointment was very good, nice and friendly staff at the Houston office too.

May 18th received my RFE response. Waiting again for updates hoping it goes smoothly from here on out. Wife is desperate to start working and just drive a car like a normal person.

I got an RFE too  I hope it won't affect the EAD processing time, I can't wait to start working ... this sucks :( Hope all goes well with your case and that we hear back some good news soon!

Hello everyone!

Completed my bio-metric appointments yesterday. It was pretty straightforward and fast, I did have to show my marriage certificate along with my bio metric appointment letter so I am  glad I took it with me. Thanks to the person who recommended taking it to the appointment.

The wait continues...

No ma'am. Not a sniff here. No mail tomorrow either as it'll be Sunday. If nothing has turned up come Friday (2nd) I'll be giving USCIS a call to see what's going on.

Fingers crossed for us (and everyone else with similar timelines still waiting) that they're just backed up with applications.
