Hey guys,

I did not submit my I-693 with my AOS application cause I read where it can be submitted at a later time or @ the interview. I received notice from USCIS today advising me to submit the I-693 @ the interview or if I will not be required to do a interview I will be instructed where to submit the medical to.

Question? Should I wait until I get a interview date to do the medical or is it best to do it anytime now since I might be required to do lab test etc?

Does that mean you got an RFE asking for your medical? If you got an RFE, you have limited time to respond and you should do it quickly and send it to them.

Your medical is valid for a year, so I would just get one and get it over with if you don't think you will wait for more than a year for an interview.

Guys, I have just received a text and an email from USCIS. There is only one notice while I sent out I-485, I-130, I-765, and I-131. Is it alright?

Thank God you've finally heard something back from them. I dont think you have anything to worry about just call and see why it was sent to California and not Missouri.

They may send more than one receipt notice in the mail but the system may have only sent text...im just guessing here....sorry for all the confusion you are having with them...😏

Thank you, @DMLA! I know it's kinda odd, but I'll just wait for the official NOA1 to see what's in it before I give them a call. I hope USCIS wouldn't make such a silly mistake like this, and there would be a reasonable reason that they had to transfer my case to a different place.

Since I only included 1 form G-1145 for the whole package, that could be the reason why I only received 1 notification. Thank you for looking out for me :).

1. If you are adjusting from K-1 and what you received is an actual RFE, you may just send a valid DS-3025 (Vaccination Documentation Worksheet). DS-3025 is valid for one year. You may also include in your cover letter that you are adjusting from K-1 so your valid DS-3025 should suffice for now. If your DS-3025 is more than a year old, then you have no choice but to take the medical and get an I-693. See the USCIS site for suggested civil surgeons in your area.

2. If what you received is not an actual RFE but just a "Notice to Applicant" letter, then you must wait for further instructions thru mail. Just like what the letter stated, if an interview is not required for your case, then they will send you an actual RFE to which you must respond. On the other hand, if an interview is required, just bring the valid DS-3025. If it is expired, then do the I-693 route.

If you are a non-K1, please ignore what I have written as I am not sure what rules apply to non-K1 adjustment applicants.

I hope this helps. Maybe someone can chime in, too. 🙂

Based on my experience, for those who are still waiting for the NOA1, a call to USCIS wouldn't hurt, but it's gonna help a lot. I had called them on Wednesday after 16 days of waiting, and I received the text/email notice on Friday. I used to belong to the March filers, but my application had been rejected. One of the fliers had also called them after more than 2 weeks. Guess what, his check was cashed right after he hung up the phone with the officer. So if you're still waiting for the notices and wondering when you're gonna receive it, call them.

Good luck to all of us!

Just ordered an official translation of her birth certificate. I did it myself before but maybe they have a problem with that.

Make sure you print out the Reciprocity schedule for your country from travel.state.gov as directed in the RFIE. I sent by husbands with translation but they sent an RFIE and accepted it when we sent it again with that website, which states it was the correct document. Sometimes they just don't know that it is the birth certificate
