Did you receive text/email from the USCIS yet?

I noticed from your timeline your package was delivered on 4/24 and still waiting....

my package was received on 4/27 and still haven't heard anything from them as well.....

Still nothing yet. But I know several March filers who received the notices after more than 2 weeks. 1 of them received the receipt on his 28th day. As for myself, it took them almost 1 month to let me know that my package was rejected and returned it back to me. So, depends on the worker who handles your file, you should receive something soon. If it's more than 20 day, I suggest you to give them a call.

01/09/2011 - Arrived United States

11/15/2012 - Officially dated my husband

11/30/2015 - Got married

03/15/2017 - AOS package sent but got rejected

04/22/2017 - AOS package re-sent

04/24/2017 - AOS package delivered at USCIS, Chicago

05/12/2017 - Text/Email Receipt received (1 text, 1 email) for I-130

05/13/2017 - Received I-797C for I-485/I-765/I-131 in mail (USCIS couldn't find my record for I-130 approval)

05/15/2017 - Check cashed (I-130)

05/19/2017 - Received NOA1 for I-130

05/20/2017 - Resubmitted I-485/I-765/I-131

05/22/2017 - I-485 delivered at Chicago P.O. Box

Yeh I wasn't really too stressed out until people that sent the packages after me already received text/email notifications.

Hopefully I will receive a notification soon.

Also I just realized that i did not sent enough passport photos for I-485, EAD, and AP. (I only sent 2)

Will I just get a RFE later or will the USCIS sent the whole package back to me?

You'll get yours soon. 🙂

About the photos. I am trying to find that thread where a VJ-er said s/he only sent 2 photos and did not receive any RFE for it. Best case scenario is they will just ignore the missing 4 photos since the photo taken during the biometrics appointment is the one they'll use anyway. Worst case is an RFE. No, they will not return your application back just because of the "missing" photos. 🙂

Edit: Here's the link. Though it is not a recent one, hope it calms you somehow.

Let's do hope you get lucky like the OP of the link below. 🙏🏼

I just gave USCIS a call this morning asking to speak with a tier 2 officer, but the customer representative told me that I had to give her information on my case first. After verifying everything, she told me that since it had been more than 10 days since my package was delivered, she would transfer me to a tier 2 officer. An officer called my husband back and talked to him since he was the petitioner. She told him that they received the package on the 24th, and it would take additional 15 days for them to process everything then they'd cash the check and send out the notices. I was wondering when she mentioned the word "received." My package was delivered on the 24th, so I'm not sure what she meant. Did she mean they got my application on the 24th, or they actually accepted my application and would process it?

Do you guys have any idea?

They shouldn't have to talk to your husband as the petitioner, at this point you are the applicant and it is your immigration case.

I think this means that they got your application on the 24th and have not yet gotten around to going through the documents and organizing it and cashing the check. This is great news! You should get the NOA1s in a few days it seems.

Hi! My personal opinion is yes, you may want to call. It wouldn't hurt to do so. Just ask them if the biometrics letter has already been sent. It will give you comfort in knowing the current status of the case.

If it has been sent, ask them when so you'd have an idea if it is on its way or it's probably lost somewhere. If nothing has been sent yet, then you'd know you just need to wait a little more.

FYI: In my previous response to your post, I mentioned that there are some who missed their appointments due to not receiving their letters. Here's an example. I got this from the March 2017 AOS Filers thread.

Good luck and keep us posted. 🙏🏼

Hi Ninatica :)

I received my 3 NOAs on May 3rd and I was hoping to have received my bio appt by now too. I searched on VJ earlier today and some people waited almost a month for their bio from when they filed their AOS packet in recent months, so I'm sure we'll be fine. I think I'm going to call and check soon just for my own piece of mind though.

I hope it comes soon for both of us :)

Hello dear,

I just reached out to USCIS, since they catched the Bio fee on April 26 the Biometric appointment letter should be sent within 30 days, if I do not receive it on May 26 I should call them again.

I filled the forms on April 13, unfortunately this is a Waiting Game.

Thanks a million for your help! ☺

I'm sorry you have to go through this. It is not unheard of that some people have received RFEs for documents they already included in the original package. 😔

No need for an alarm, but there might be a mistake. I thought all applications for AOS ended up at the National Benefits Center in Missouri, not in California. You should look into this. I am sorry about all this hassle you need to deal with :(
