Finally I got some news! After I was approved for the EAD back in August 18 and 3 different service request about the delay (their mistake, it was lost in limbo) I just got my card! When I was calling regarding the delay in my EAD I will asked how my 485 was going and I get the typical response "just wait, nothing has been scheduled yet". Now my last call 2 weeks ago, the second tier representative was more helpful regarding my EAD and when I ask about my 485 he said " we have received an enormous amount of applications. Literally the waiting list for interviews are like parking lots, nobody is moving. The states that are more delays are California (were I live), Florida, Texas, Illinois and New York. So just to keep waiting and have patience, it should take between 8 to 12 months for the process".  Now literally 2 days after that conversation I received my appointment letter. So yah that was a surprise.

I am happy for you and your god-given luck. I happen to live in one of those cursed states. I am approaching 7 month.

Thanks

What is the urgency?  Once you have the EAD, one can work and travel.  Why get all stressed out over it?  When my wife was going through it, we honestly never gave it much thought as it was being processed once she had the EAD, the greencard just showed up one day in the mailbox.

I can't imagine calling CIS every couple of days to ask the same questions and get the same answers and making people with actual urgent issues wait on hold for hours with these silly questions.

Find something to occupy your free time and wait your turn.  You'll be less stressed and probably better mood.

Nope I’m good just waiting.

I got a job and the holidays are coming up where my job will be crazy. I’ll just keep waiting.

I dont even expect it to arrive before April anyway and as long as I have my combo card I’m good

Hi guys!!

I filled for AOS (from K1) March 30, and my status has been on "fingerprints fee received" since April 4th. I got my EAD in June, but case status has been on "fingerprints" since April 4th. No news of interview or anything else.

Should I be worried?? It's been 7 months already! My field office, I think, is San Antonio, TX (I live in Austin).

I've seen people who applied after me get their green cards already. I'm starting to grow inpatient and to freak out a little bit.

Does it normally take this long to receive news about interview? :blink:
