Hello: so I am in the same boat as the people above me. My EAD got approved on August 16... I was so excited I got the letter and that it. Nothing after. It's been over a month and not card yet. I called and talked to a second tier officer who told me "I don't understand why your card hasn't been produced everything is correct so I am opening a service request. I told her: "No, I don't want a service request I want my card to able to work. I just need someone to press the button to print it, that's it". So of course they open my 4 service request that nobody ever see it. With the title "resend card". What?! resend my card it was never produced the first time! So frustrating! She told me to wait for another 15 more days begin I call again.

I feel you....Its ridiculous...I really don't understand how USCIS works, even some cases that had RFEs didn't wait this long for their EADs approval. Have you involved your local congressman/woman? I got mine approved and I am still waiting for my child's EAD approval and its well over 130 days, 2 SRs, still nothing, I am getting the senator involved today and I am waiting for a Tier 2 officer to call me back and explain why we have to wait this long when all other cases filled at the same time have gotten their approvals.

Its annoying:bonk:

I was going to contact our congressman but since they told me they already approved it September 5th i decided to let it go.

Anyway i had good news today my online status changed to "New card is being produced". Now waiting to change to "Card Mailed" and tracking no.

All in all i've passed the 5 months mark and would love to know why, please let us know what the officer said about the long wait.

Omg that's a nightmare, what does it say online for your case?

The best of luck to you, hope they fix it soon.

Hello everyone!  Haven't posted in a while but still been keeping an eye on everyone posting here. My wife has been working for the last month so it was great for her to not to be so idle at home.  The downside is I have to make my own lunches now!  LOL!  Actually, I get to make her lunch before i leave for work sometimes and I love doing it!

Anyways, we got a surprise letter in the mail today.  It was an NOA for AOS interview scheduled!  I did not receive any SMS/Email like I did for her EAD/AP card and checking USCIS website still shows the status of her I-485 as "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received".  It has been that status since May!  Anyway our AOS interview is scheduled on 10/30/2017 at the San Diego Service Center.  Yay!

I checked the AOS Timeline Statistics link http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php

It looks like we are about a month ahead of the 235 day average from Package receipt to AOS interview at the San Diego office (16 records reported).  So I guess I don't have too much to complain about.  I don't forsee any problems but will let everyone know how our interview goes in about a month!

Interview update:

Probably had the worst interview experience. The officer was super mean and rude. She didn't believe in our marriage from the start because we got married after 9 months of dating. She gave us a RFE for the support because my wife income is lower than the min even tho I submitted the documents back in May, and RFE because she think our marriage is not bonafide even tho we had rent agreement, couple of bills, joint saving account, and dozens of pictures.

The officer even called me a liar at some point, which is bizarre.

She gave us until last day of Oct to send everything. It is really depressing.

I’m sorry to hear that ☹️ sometimes is hard to guess what the IO is thinking, maybe she was in a bad mood? And definitely should not be a surprise a couple getting married after 9 months dating! Just isn’t clear why she gave you guys a RFE if you submitted the document back in May, did you bring that to the interview?

One of the RFE was regarding the income, which was weird considering its an interview. My wife submitted a joint saving account with her parents + her salary to meet the guideline. I have a job now, and my income alone is sufficient, but she didn't want that either.

The second one was for additional evidence to prove marriage. We just got an apartment together so apparently new lease, and bills besides savings isn't good for her. She didn't even ask any personal questions besides when did you meet.

Wow that’s insane! Yeah she definitely was in a bad mood, but don’t worry just submit all documents she asked for and you will be fine! You have tons of proof to support your marriage so it’s just a delay on your green card. I know how hard is this situation because I already have been in your shoes, but once I submitted the documents asked by the IO, my green card was approved in 7 days! Stay strong!

After 7 long days of waiting in agony after I submitted my new medical, I got the status update today that my green card is being produced!

I never got a status update after 'received' for EAD/AP for 156 days, and I am not expecting to anymore.

I believe it might have something to do with them losing my fiance petition packet at POE.

Good luck everyone!

Maybe the fact that you lived separately was the reason for this kind of interview.

Sorry for this interview experience :(

I mean she didn't even ask about that. Both had separate leases since I was in school, and It was difficult of us to move in together until I got a job.

So , the only thing she didn't like during the interview was that you got married after 9 months ?
