So I'm perusing this thread and thinking, wow, so many people are getting really lucky. I can't believe how many people have already had their interview after filing in April!

So, I go and check the statistics and average processing times. Dayum. On average, 155 days between biometrics and interview. In Houston, where I am, 390 days! Yeeesh.

Again, I guess it's no biggie once we have the EAD/AP card. But it'd be nice to have it over with, you know? Eugh. 390 days. More than a year! Can't imagine things will improve after Harvey, either. Big love to all those affected (Irma survivors, too!)

Hey there! I hear ya, I keep thinking 'today's MY day!' based on others getting their interviews, but still no. Where do you see the average between the two milestones? I was just working off of the YTD stuff found attached below.... Somewhere else to look?

Thanks :)

AOS K1 Visa

Anyone stuck on "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again."?

Been 83 days since I got this status update.

RFE received June, reason:"missing" birth certificate.

I already have my EAD.

Tried calling USCIS, got same response with my online status and

apparently my local office is in San Fernando Valley ,whose processing time is still at those filed last Sept 2016.

?___?

Any similar experience?

Would infopass help?

Thanks

Hey there!

I'm afraid USCIS has 90 days to respond to that, so unfortunately this is still in the processing time. Once you pass the 90 days mark you can raise a service request.

Hello my dear friends!

So the interview was today:D And I'd like to share how the interview went.  Appointment was at 1430H but, we weren't called about an hour after.

Interview with the IO was smooth. First, my husband and i took oath. He asked for my fullname, birthdate, employment status and present address. Told him we moved to a new address but preferred the GC to be mailed to the previous address( so its possible, you just have to indicate a change in physical address but mailing address remains the same). Then he turned to ask my husband his fullname, birthdate and employment status. He asked us if we have any documents to add to our case. So, we gave him photos of the wedding, recent family events we attended and random photos taken at our place. And also documents which we both had our names on it. After that, he then told us that we'll be receiving the conditional GC since the marriage is less than 2 years. He also reminded us about what documents to prepare for filing ROC. The interview took less than 15 min. Few minutes after we got out the building, i received sms/email that my card is in production. Thanks!

I can still remember how i got stressed out about the biometrics appointment

To everyone who helped, thank you so much. At least for now, we get to have that long time out with USCIS.  Time to get DL and a job. Or perhaps a vacation..lol

Before i forget, about the SSN. Do we need to update them? Thanks!

Hope everyone is getting positive results.

p.s. please forgive me about the first post i dont know how to delete it:D

Hi all --

We had our interview yesterday in the Providence field office. We got there at 8am for our interview at 830am, and we were called in at about 9am. The interviewer was extremely friendly and pleasant. He put us under oath and then started going through the application. To be honest, the interviewer didn't really ask any questions per se. He went through the application and just asked to confirm our birthdates, places of birth, telephone number, SSN, etc. He asked me yes/no questions that I had filled out in the application. He joked about my civil violation for underage drinking in college. After that, we mostly just had a conversation about Providence, medical school, our travels, and that sort of thing. He made a few jokes and asked to see what documents we had brought (marriage certificate, lease, change of addresses, my wife's change of name document, utilities, credit card statements, print out of our wedding website, few photos with family, both our birth certificates). Embarrassingly enough, he caught a typo in the draft copy of the invitation to our wedding in India in January.

He told us about the next steps after that and mentioned that I should have my card in two weeks.

Thanks everyone for the help and support over the last few months!

Good luck to everyone waiting!

It will not restart if it is for your I-485. It will tho if it's for your EAD/AP.

Since yours is for the I-485, timeline will not restart.

I am getting the congresswoman and senator involved now because they received my evidence nad are now saying it will take about 6-9 months for my case to be processed. THERE IS NO WAY I AM WAITING THAT LONG!! I have a pending job offer and the sole person bringing in an income. This is absurd. I have lost patience and getting so frustrated.

Good idea on getting your state Senators involved. Who are they?

This is how I got my EAD expedited, with the help of Senator Bob Casey's office. Took about two weeks.

All I included was a pending job offer, that was it.

GC ON HAND TODAY!

Hurricane Irma caused a delay in the delivery of my greencard since I live in Florida and we pretty much had a lot going on what with our apartment getting a little bit flooded but it is raining good news this week despite all of the 'Irma-dness.'

I also get paid tomorrow for after 6 months of being unemployed. Started my new job last week and it is going really well for us, thank God!

I wish everybody all the best in their journeys!

God bless us all! ❤

It is really frustrating. It also irks me that i see a some June and July filers getting approved for AOS.

I even had one lady had an AOS interview the same date as mine which was august 28, when she filed 3rd week of June and she even got her GC a week earlier than mine. I just got mine today.

That lady was from Ohio. She said it was not and expedited case either. I WAS LIKE "hey i have a friend who was a December filer and had not received any update yet!"

AOS processing speed is mostly influenced by the particular local office handling your case. Right now the Philly office has a 7 month backlog. I'd imagine Ohio and some other places with fewer AOS cases move faster than, say New York or LA.
