I'm kind of confused. Ive been lurking around other forums, especially March, May, June, July filers, and there are people that consider their received date on their I-129F applications as their NOA1... Never clarified this with anyone but which date should be considered as the NOA1?

-The date the application was received?

-The date the NOA1 was printed?

According to the USCIS app, when I looked up my WAC# it says my case was received on April 3, but my NOA1 was printed on April 6

So we have the exact same timeline. What's your embassy if you don't mind me asking to see if we match on that as well. Yay! VJ uses received date and USCIS uses received date. Use whichever to make you feel better. The later date means if it comes sooner than estimated you're surprised and using earlier and receiving it later sucks.

Yep, I've just come to the conclusion they won't touch April (received date) cases until August, based on the fact I think they still have to work on last week of March cases. I saw they issued a RFE yesterday for March 27, but didn't see nothing for March 28, so they are probably around those dates along with cleaning older cases from March (long overdue).

I keep making numbers and turning myself crazy thinking I'll have to redo all my planning. I mean, not that I have big plans, but I think maybe I should start thinking on Christmas as my date to move... depending on what happens with my seasonal job. I don't really need the money, nor the additional stress caused by a bad supervisor, but as usual, we'll see...

Impossible to foresee what will happen, I'll just be happy when April starts being touched for real.

Feeling down, but trying to fight it :)

There's a few March timelines in following and a March 29th person got there's on the 10th. No online notice so they didn't know until two days ago. A March 31st got a RFE two days ago. I only know because I messaged them and asked. Don't know if timelines have been updated.

I know about the 29th one at least, but those are notice dates and I was talking about received one. Well, I'm pretty sure I checked and it was notice date... Tired, so my brain starts malfunctioning :P

Anyway, they should be close to that received date too, if not there already. So more waiting and seeing...

Almost Saturday here, so happy weekend to everyone!

@kat.caprio thanks for the welcome! Believe me, we are really apprehensive too about booking too many things for the very same reason. The "what ifs" can cause nightmares.

@pajobra we've been engaged since my birthday on Nov 12th last year so we REALLY dragged our feet before we started getting paperwork together and of course now we're getting bit on the butt for it. Back when we started looking around on VJ, a 95 day average was closer to the norm, now it seems to be the exception. Who knew it'd be closer to 120...if you're lucky just 3 months later. I think we all assume we're special and that there's no way it'll take as long for us. Obviously, life has its own way of humbling people. lol

@Jeff and Alina, @relaxango I've realized that there's so many ppl on VJ planning to do Disney trips, it probably deserves its own forum on here. lol We're so excited to go! Who can say no to the happiest place on earth anyway? lol The Halloween Party looks fun! We're hoping to catch the Christmas Party. Are any of you gonna see Cirque de Soleil at Disney Springs too? This is the last year it'll be available. Definitely want to see it before it's gone for good. At this point I think all us VJers really deserve our own special Disney discounted group rate! Lord knows we're spending enough already. lol

@Keith & Monica lol my VJ twin! Where have u been all this time?!  I'd say we both have great minds and you know what they say about people with great minds. 😄

I got 4 texts today from USCIS saying that my case was updated but when I went online, there was no change.

I called USCIS but it was after 6pm so you can only use the automated system.   It said "On July 21st 2017 USCIS received your case and a request to review it from the state department..."

I've read that it might be a glitch but I guess I'll have to wait until Monday and see!

Just curious, what do you mean by "online notice"? Is there some way to see your NOA2 before it comes in the mail?

The USCIS case tracker on their website.  You can make an account or just input your case number and see the status.  They haven't been working for a few months so most of the statuses online are not updating.

Oh, no! As if it wasn't stressful enough.

A couple of weeks ago I read about a lot of people getting spamming with USCIS texts. This was a lot of people doing AOS, I think. Some of them had just recently being updated and approved, so they agreed it was a glitch.

However, I read a couple of them actually got approved the same day they got the text. Really confusing.

I'm assuming it's a glitch, but it would be great if you got news (good ones, of course).

Good luck on at least getting some kind of explanation from them. :) Please, keep us updated.

Okay... well it's news but not what I had thought!  But still an answered prayer!

The notice was from my old I-129F.  So they were updating me on that case to tell me it had been sent from DOS to USCIS "for review", which really means to expire- although it's been expired for a long time now.

This takes a weight off of my shoulders because I've been concerned that when my new case reaches the embassy they're going to say they cannot process it because they still had the old case.  I'm very thankful that I got the notification that the embassy has sent the case back to USCIS now.  Yay!!!
