Its definitely vacation and being short staffed making approvals much longer! I've worked with the US & CAN Gov't… same thing every year!!

Exactly. :) I have the feeling in August we will see much more movement again. :) *crosses fingers*

And that's kind of funny, because here August is the typical vacation month where everything gets really slow...

True but August is when back to school happens in a lot of the states although some don't until September.

In Canada its the same - August is the warmest month so everyone is off. But in the US I would think July is somewhat slower because kids go back to school in August so parents would take vacation when the kids are off school.

Well, our NOA2 timeline estimate moved back AGAIN

It's looking like early September might be a more realistic expectation at this point. Just wondering about your opinions on when us April filers may hope to actually have a K-1 in-passport.

Keeping my fingers crossed that we start getting some good news on here really soon!

I know :( I've started ignoring it as it does me no good!

I really believe August is realistic for early April filers. Summer vacation begins to wind down for the US so being short staffed shouldn't be an issue. Anyone, like myself, who filed late April could see movement in September.

Depending on how quickly your local embassay moves to schedule interviews, I'd say late October or early November is realistic to have the K1 visa in hand.  Waiting for the NOA2 seems to be the longest part of the process. My friends who have gone through this process have told me during this awful time prepare for the remaining parts. Complete the I-134 w/ applicable documents so the petitioner can sign and date when the NOA2 is received, have a criminal record check, get vaccination/ medical records, etc. (whatever is required from the local embassy). Being organized can help with a closer interview date!

We're all half way through this brutal process. Our day is coming!!!

Yep, I've just come to the conclusion they won't touch April (received date) cases until August, based on the fact I think they still have to work on last week of March cases. I saw they issued a RFE yesterday for March 27, but didn't see nothing for March 28, so they are probably around those dates along with cleaning older cases from March (long overdue).

I keep making numbers and turning myself crazy thinking I'll have to redo all my planning. I mean, not that I have big plans, but I think maybe I should start thinking on Christmas as my date to move... depending on what happens with my seasonal job. I don't really need the money, nor the additional stress caused by a bad supervisor, but as usual, we'll see...

Impossible to foresee what will happen, I'll just be happy when April starts being touched for real.

Feeling down, but trying to fight it :)

Hey everyone, popping my head in if you all don't mind. I've spent most of my time since I filed over in the March group but I guess u can call me somewhat of an in-betweener.

My VJ estimated NOA2 timeline has been the most annoying moving target lately as I'm sure everyone can relate. I do kick myself now for not filing at least a month earlier but oh well, too late now. lol My fiancée and I are planning for a Nov 18th wedding with a week long Disneymoon starting on Nov 27th so I've got some time to stay calm I think.....for now. I swear this whole process has taught me a new level of patience that I never knew I was capable of. Nevertheless, I'm saying a prayer and my fingers are crossed that this next week will bring a FLOOD of speedy approvals for all! That April dam has gotta be ready to break!!! 😁

Welcome to the group!!

I'm with you! I think the same thing… if only I filed earlier… oh well can't change that now! I really believe you'll be okay for the Nov 18 deadline. Its extremely stressful to think about cutting it that close. My fiancé booked us a trip to Maui on Nov 11, which I constantly have sleepless nights worrying about not making that. If not I'll just have to visit and come back to Canada for my interview, or just cry over all that money wasted!

Hoping you see movement very very soon!!

I think lots of us wish we had filed earlier. My fiance wishes we had filed the beginning of February just after he asked me to marry him. LOL But C'est la vie! lol

I've definitely been following similar advice! A huge packet of documentation is in transit to him as we type, including the I-134. Trying to do everything I can to speed up the process!
