@Keith & Monica Congrats on catching up to your moving target of a timeline!  Fingers crossed that you get your NOA2 during your window.  As you know, we're all watching you as the early filer :)

We, like many others apparently, aren't planning to do an actual wedding.  We'll head to the courthouse and maybe have a dinner with some friends since my family is all on the east coast and his will all be back in Jamaica.  We are planning a party on the beach next year in Jamaica and we were hoping for April but not sure it will happen.  The stars are going to need to start aligning soon so we can get married and get that green card paperwork moving in order to go through the 4 month wait before he can travel back to Jamaica.  Time will tell I guess

Timeline

I'm kind of confused. Ive been lurking around other forums, especially March, May, June, July filers, and there are people that consider their received date on their I-129F applications as their NOA1... Never clarified this with anyone but which date should be considered as the NOA1?

-The date the application was received?

-The date the NOA1 was printed?

According to the USCIS app, when I looked up my WAC# it says my case was received on April 3, but my NOA1 was printed on April 6

DAY 101 (106 since received date)

Nothing in the mail

LOL, if I keep doing this I'll start feeling I'm stranded on a desert island and keeping track of my lonely boring days :P

Nothing to report here. No big weddings for us, only a court ceremony, possibly with Gary's parents because they live kind of close (Vegas) and apparently with some friends from work, since they self invited themselves, lol. I don't really care, since my family won't be there and, moreover, I don't really like wedding ceremonies because I hate being the center of attention, so I would be fine with just us two :P

Apart from that, glad is a Friday. Sad this week is going by without news, but weekends are always good to spend time with our other half and it brings us closer to another work week that might (and should) be more productive for Aprilites. We've repeated this so many times, that it has to finally become true... Our time is coming :)

So ok, let's say it...

One Day More, One Day Less... One Day Closer :D

(Specially for you, @Keith & Monica that, as @spike198 said, are being watched as an early filler that could possibly update us soon with good news).

You are right, a lot of people use Received Date.

I even had a conversation about that with someone once... they said they liked to use that one because then the Timeline showed earlier dates for the estimate... and I was like "Yeah, true, but you are adding pressure on your waiting if you go by that, because your real estimated is a few days later actually..." But oh well, each to their own :)

that's exactly the same thing as I was thinking too about adding pressure to your own self...I remember seeing someone say they sent their application on the 10th and their NOA1 is on the 13th or 14th (i'm probably assuming that is their receive date)

Ah yes the elusive what do I use date. I had the notice date in there changed it to the received date just for a looksee after my estimated noa2 date timeline had passed. I just never moved it back because at this point being a month past the estimated time of Noa2 I think its pointless. LOL Yes i am a March Filer creeping on your thread. ;)

Who woulda thought we would be hitting the end of July without most of March being touched. I do believe its because of lots of vacations. Least thats what I am thinking as that helps the waiting. LOL

Who woulda thought we would be hitting the end of July without most of March being touched. I do believe its because of lots of vacations. Least thats what I am thinking as that helps the waiting. LOL

Its definitely vacation and being short staffed making approvals much longer! I've worked with the US & CAN Gov't… same thing every year!!
