Do you think the person telling hiim that migt have been basing on USCIS official processing times? I mean, since there it says right now they are working on January 1st, then that person automatically added the 3.5 months that it would require to get to mid April.

If that's the case, then we don't need to give it more thought, since we know for a fact they are in March already :)

Good luck anyway!

As long as she is here for her birthday on 12/1, I'll be ok.  Hopfully, it won't be that long.  Her daughter is 11/22, and it would be awesome if she were here for that as well.

That sounds like a great objective, hope you can make it.

I'm still hoping for October and then my first Thanksgiving... But we'll have to see what happens with NOA2, because if it gets delay a lot,as in nothing in August, then I might end up coming back to my seasonal job at a film festival... I don't know if this sounds bad, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to even consider the question, since then that would mean I won't be able to leave until probably Christmas time almost :(

Oh well :)

Sounds like a good aim, I think it helps sometimes. My plan is to get over by end of November...fingers crossed

If they actually answered the questions rather than just give a canned speech like a telemarketer then maybe they wouldn't be getting so many calls :)  I think it's the shear lack of info that has everyone on these forums slowly going crazy.  We submit the application and we know nothing until we get a letter in the mail.  Maybe Amazon can help them with their tracking system?  When I order something online, I can see the status of my order from the moment I place it to the time it gets delivered to my house!  And there are way more Amazon orders than visa applications!  ha ha!  sorry, I'm using humor and sarcasm to help me through this process :)

@spike198 Humor and sarcasm are great resources to cope with USCIS ways if you ask me :P

So I've just read the weirdest story about an approval on Marchies thread. Petitioner got nothing in the mail... Beneficiary was the one forwarding him an email with a PDF of NOA2!!

Edit. Oh well, I got clarification about that. It wasn't USCIS but the lawyer who sent the email. Duh :P

So it's just the lawyer was notified first... Because snail mail :)

Nope, I just edited the post to explain what happened...

I asked them because I know you don't put the beneficiary's email anywhere in the petition, so that was completely illogical.

It turned out it was their lawyer and not USCIS who sent the email :)

Ahhhh.. that makes sense. When we got our NOA1 the hard copy came to me and the email went to our attorney who then forwarded it. I'm assuming the same will happen for NOA2 provided an email us sent

True, that is why I got confused "beneficiary received an email with PDF of NOA2" :). Well, we do it ourselves. Hopefully, we received ours soon. :)

OP was confused too, lol. He had to ask again to his fiance to understand what had happened.

That would have been close to a paranormal event, USCIS contacting the beneficiary :P

So false alarm... Not such a weird story after all. Duh me. :)
