99 days and counting . . . increasing fiber intake . . .getting up at 330am 6 days a week to video chat with my second self and to work out . . ., ummm, huh, still 99 days, le sigh, but, one day closer to paradise!

Is my sense data screwy or did the official processing date just change to Feb 2017? Has it not been on Jan 2017 for for a while?

Good eye! They just updated that today, and probably not long ago.

I'm sure some February filers still waiting will be glad to know, as soon as they notice or someone tell them

Lol. I can either be sad about the wait or optimistic about a response. I figure the time gonna past anyway so I might as well watch it past with good spirits. I hope it doesn't reach to that for us Aprilites. Clearly there is a lot of people out of processing time and still being served salt.. but I see approvals on the horizon for us all, I can smell it!

I really don't see how y'all can be so optimistic. I'm so over this . I don't know if it's because I know they've been doing back ground checks for a month or I'm on a deadline or what. But I'm frustrated and annoyed. I understand the sheer numbers, but if they check the paperwork when it comes in and they're only looking to see if you've met in the last two years, why not do it at the same time? Seems more efficient. Then once back ground check results cons back, if needed, noa2's are automatically printed. 

Imknow im moody because I'm frustrated, but wth!

I'm with you; I can't be optimistic either about watching paint dry and I'm an early May filer...yes, eventually, the paint will dry and the outcome will be beautiful but the waiting is excruciating.  This all just takes much too long... maybe it will help to know that we're not all total optimists here.

Im not always optimistic, I have my days. But there's also absolutely nooothing I can do about it. LDR is already tough, and I wldnt want my mood/frustration to affect it even more,so when im having a bad day he can calm me and vice versa. Im pretty sure all of us wish their system was set up differently. I myself cant understand why there is such a drastic hold up if all they do is flip thru a file. It's a pity we cant ALL come together and dog them til they're fed up. Why not just let us know where they are truly at? Boggles my mind. Makes me want to throw my phone sometimes too.

Just a piece of advice- unless you spoke with a tier 2 officer that looked in your file and saw that you were undergoing background checks, that was probably just a general response and they may have not even touched your case yet. 

 

Don't get so caught up in it just because they said they were doing the background checks.  Take some deep breaths and focus on today and getting prepared for the next steps.

yes to this sentiment.  I'm sure for some if feels good to rage against the machine, but the process is slow.  Do I wish it was faster?  Of course, but I will stay positive, and I will not let something that is out of my control bring me down.  I've waited my whole life for my future wife, so I can wait 6 more months or whatever it takes.  The top 3 posts at USCIS are still just temporary appointments.  I'm positive that our time will come.  Maybe not today or tomorrow, but soon.  Best of luck to us all.

its very slow now days..they received my case march 15 and i received my noa1 on march 20.. they say im on 119 days. next week will be 4 months of waiting! crazy i tell you. no rfe or anything yet, apparently there is a huge group after march 15 waiting! and a lot still from feb  we were all discussing how maybe they slowed down for system updates or something.. it just seems so odd for so many of us to be surpassing that 3.5 month mark without a hint of info. hopefully next week. i hope its not a 5 month wait
