I hope that the timing works out for you.  I would love to make it to the interview but I do a lot of travel for work and my fall is really busy so I don't know if I can make it all work.  We'll see!  My fiance doesn't have wifi so we rent an airbnb which of course adds to the cost of every trip but I need to work so it's not really an option.  Hmmm... wondering if I can write off some of these expenses come tax time? ;)

Yes the moments are coming more and more often for me too.  When I start to go off about it, he says "baby it's the system" which is funny because I do the same thing when our whatsapp calls get cut off and his response is the same!

HAHAHA....they sound sooooo much alike, especially about what's app and IMO. But it puzzles me how calm he can be when it comes to this process and says, "babe, we just gonna take our time with everything and the time will come for us to be together we just have to be patient...."; I just don't know where the heck he gets the calmness from but I guess one of us has to be and CLEARLY, it's not me!

Where do you rent the airbnb from and how much does it cost if you don't mind me asking?

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

The first time we rented a place at Sand Castles in Ocho Rios.  It's a hotel but kind of structured like a timeshare.  It was great because it was right in the town center and we could walk everywhere.  It had a pool, private beach, restaurant and nightclub.  We paid somewhere around $65 a night I think.  This time we are staying in Montego Bay because he was potentially going to be working a job there.  This place is a bit more because I wanted to be by the beach :)  It's $72 per night but it's a cute little studio with a pool and access to the beach at the new Hard Rock Cafe.  Of course, both had wifi which was crucial to me.  If I didn't need to work we would probably stay somewhere else or even at his house (his sister and her boyfriend live with him so it's not ideal).  I am going for 2 weeks so I have to work while I'm there.  Thank God for internet!

Oh okay...we just stay at his house, but I understand your situation is different than mine! He's been looking to getting a wifi/modem box to install in his house which would help me to be able to work from there a few days. I could go to the internet café and work from there but because of the type of work I do, I'm leery on using their wifi and not knowing how "secure" it is. I think at this point it doesn't really matter if he gets one or not. If things go according to "plan", we only have from now until mid-late October to be part much longer. So with me going to see him in 3 weeks and then 6 weeks later for his birthday, that should make time feel like it's going faster. Truthfully, everything goes much faster after the NOA2. JA Embassy doesn't take that long especially since you're allow to schedule your own interview. He can do Packet 3 and Packet 4 almost simultaneously based off of 2 filers that were just approved a couple of weeks ago. All we need is the case# from NVC to start. I guess that's why I'm getting antsy because I know that after the NOA2, the process could take approximately 45 no more than 60 days left to go.

I think and feel like I'm going to get an RFE. I did something stupid two weeks ago. I renewed my US passport thinking it will expire this august 20 but I checked a photocopy of my passport and saw it expires august 20 2018. I called the Passport Agency and they had processed my new passport and now I have a new passport number.

I used my passport to prove my US Citizenship. I do know that the requirements when using the passport to prove citizenship is to photocopy every single page of the UNexpired passport. My passport technically wasn't expired when I sent in the photocopies, but now the passport number from my previous passport is now deemed as "invalid"

ugh I hope they dont use my passport number to verify my citizenship... :(

Hey, don't worry too much! If you get an RFE because of that, then think at least that's a very easy thing to fix, since you just have to provide the photocopies of the new passport.

Of course it's a bummer, but it could be worse and, with luck, only a couple of weeks delay.

Cheer up!

You should be fine. They have internal systems that will show the update on your passport but if at all necessary, if you get the RFE, it's a quick easy fix. If you still have your "old passport", just hold on it in case they require additional copies or information. I would think though if you just got it updated that would still verify your US citizenship. Keep in mind, all passport request go through Homeland Security so I'm sure they will see the update. But don't worry about something like this too much. It won't cause you to get a denial, at the very least, you'll get a RFE. Just be prepared!

Thanks a lot of the positive remarks. It helped a lot since it got me down all weekend long. Kinda did the estimation though, if I do get an RFE this month or august, hopefully my fiance will be able to get here by end of November still.

Anyway, I hope we hear a lot from the March filers today

Hey yall, just popping in, but check this. Idk if any of you remember when I first posted here it was about my LO not being named on the NOA1, before I knew she didn't have to. So when my fiance contacted CSC they put our file for review, and they sent us a letter. That letter stated the file was requested for review and any errors would basically be brought to our attention, I didn't pay any mind to it because I was thinking that if any issues had been found it wouldn't take them almost two months to inform us...So this brings me to that NOA they recently sent. Could it be that they just notified me , in weird words, that everything was fine and my file was returned to it's rightful place til further notice? Because I noticed that notice wasn't an Applicant's Copy.    Did I put myself in the clear for an RFE

The past week has been like watching paint dry if you were watching for NOA2 approvals on VJ. I keep hoping for an uptick in activity for people actually receiving notifications but so far it's just been chatter of support for the people that are still waiting from March.

It occurred to me that we're at the point in applications where they switched to the new I-129F form. I would be curious to see if that's affecting the processing in any way.

Oh well. Here I sit with my fingers crossed anyway. Is it too much to hope for the 1-129F flood gates to open? ;)

Yeah you're right, and never really occurred to me that the June I-129F form revision would affect approval times, I'm sure it shouldnt really affect processing times since the USCIS undergoes constant revisions annually (my assumption though)... According to VJ they're processing NOA1 March 30th peeps. lets just stay positive and not let our hopes go up.
