March filer who is snooping on your thread. :Dย Welcome to the crazy world of waiting. Funny my fiance and I were talking the other day about looking forward to making our own holiday traditions. He always is asking me about mine and I am like well we never really had any due to my parents being divorced since I was 8 and then my stepdad moving in when I was 18 and his kids kinda just brought their traditions which didn't include us at all. I was living 10 hours away for 14 years from the time I was 21 and I actually avoided going home for Christmas because I didn't want to with all his kids there minus the two youngest they were cool and I am good friends with both today. I spent many holidays alone wishing I had family that was closer. I totally feel you except that two years ago I moved in with my Mum in my hometown because I got a job 20 mins away in the next town over.ย

ย

As for wedding my fiance and I are just doing a small wedding not long after I enter. I have a good friend that lives in Denver who will come down to The Springs as my witness and my fiance has a few friends that will come for him. My Mum is thinking she will fly down as well and come and maybe bring my niece who is 11 if that works out. :)

It's definitely hard not to be around or close to our families during holidays. It's going to be amazing once we are all with our significant others and hopefully family and friends can join us if they can.ย

ย

Soundsย like you two will have a lovely ceremony ๐Ÿ˜Š ย

Nice to have you aboard. :)ย ย  As you know, up here in Seattle, we are not too far from the BC borderย  I hope to make it up there a couple of times this summer.ย  As far as holidays go,ย  it's very possible to get approvals before Christmas.ย  Good luck!!

Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š ย

When I lived in BC, I visited Seattle with some friends. My mom lives a couple of hours away from the border.ย

Good luck to you as wellย

I don't want to be a party pooper, but considering how things are processing right now, I don't think there's any way you can be done with the whole process by July, considering after NOA2 you still have to go through the NVC and Embassy stage. Unless you got an expedited case? Not sure how those work, but you need to have a very good reason for it... Otherwise we all would go for itย :P

Right. I know it's very low possibility to get it done by July.ย  However, I saw one case in my country to be approved in 2 month. Maybe her case was exception. So just crossing fingers. Thank you for advice though. :)ย

Not sure if I made that clear, since I was barely awake when I posted this morning : even though we sent the g1145 weย never got any notification via text or email. I hope this helps to put your mind at restย ย a little.ย

I was worried that our application got lost and we will lose so much time to get everything together again, but then I got surprised by the hard copy, and while waiting for NOA1 I was actually already in line of waiting for NOA2 for 8 days without even knowing ๐Ÿ˜œ

Ohhhhh I feel you on that one. His divorce was final early March also after 2.5 years I think.ย

If he never filed another visa for his ex and she never lived in the states you should be fine, since immigration was not involved if I get that right?ย

But I understand your fears, we all overthink and prepare for the worst but hope for the best.ย

Thank you for the reassurance. I don't think it should be a problem either, but I can see USCIS being curious about the whole thing and wanting to know more. It was a 10 years marriage after all. So I'll cross my fingers now for it not being a RFE matter.

Oh yes, I have that fear as well, I've been reading through a bunch of threads and I don't know how, but found one about divorce and k1, there were quite a few stories that scared me pretty much. If you're overthinking like I do, here's my advice, do NOT read into this ๐Ÿ˜œ we need to save our nerves for the waiting game on noa2, which is already though, no need to make it more miserable.๐Ÿ˜Š
