I've just realised I have absolutely no clue how to schedule our interviews. I've completed the DS-160 forms for us, can anyone point in the right direction of what to do next please?

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

I've just noticed the information on your Embassy's website regarding the K1 looks a bit different now, since it doesn't mention the form of readiness here  They updated the page and actually if you try to go to the old one it gives you an error...

Anyway, there you have the link to schedule the interview, step 4 :)

Hey everyone!

Hope your all well!

I have my Embassy interview this Friday and i'm really nervous.

I've prepared my folder but can someone tell me if I've got everything or if i'm missing something? that would be great.

- Passport

- Police Certificate

- Birth Certificates (with parents names on)

- DS - 160 Confirmation

- Affidavit of Support (1-134)

- Photos of screenshots for more evidence.

- Photo (1 USA passport sized)

- Evidence for having enough money (savings etc)

- Evidence I have paid for the interview.

Am I missing anything else? Anyone who has been to the Embassy in London.. how was it?

Thanks!

I read somewhere that it's a good idea to bring a new letter of Intent to marry.

For what it's worth, today my informed delivery says I'll get the letter from the NVC. And according to the requirements for a visa medical listed on the hospital in Manila where the medical must be done (St Luke's), they REQUIRE this letter (see attached snip from their website). Contrary to what some have said, this appears to be necessary. Also, another forum member posted that they went to St Lukes this week and were told it's required.

So thankfully I only had to wait a few days for the letter to come. I was swirling in confusion about what if anything I'd receive. Some have said you only need a snip of the "Ready" status from the CEAC website, but not true.

Here's what the hospital lists as requirements. Note "d. Letter with Case Number"

I have a question regarding the I-134.  Does it have to have a wet signature?  Or can it be a scanned signature?

50 minutes ago, Trinab80 said:

I would believe that it would need to be a wet signature just like everything else has to be during this process. I would do it that way to be on the safe side

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

My embassy list stated that it has to be a wet signature, so yeah go the wet route to be safe.

I think it was @Unshakable Faith (we miss you and hope everything is fine!) who shared this link before: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/news/ink-signature-no-longer-required-on-affidavits-of-support.html

They are talking about the i864 for AOS there, but one would assume same thing applies for the i134, since this one is not legally binding unlike the aforementioned i864.

Personally, I would prefer a wet signature, but it seems scanned ones should be fine...

Sorry to keep posting negativity but I broke down yesterday. Waiting for NOA2 is still driving me insane and I can't cope. No RFE request - no action since April 11 (NOA1). I dont know what to do. My fiance doesn't want to call them - last time (and only time) we got a NOA2 they called and told us to wait for the 6 month mark. He wants to just wait for that, because they'll have a note on our case that we were pestering and he doesn't want to give them any reason to deny but I literally cannot cope can someone help me out?

Congratulations @cameradiary great news!

@Melodica256 Hey fellow Londoner, I also am still awaiting to hear back anything, I’m in a similar scenario as you, nothing has been heard, no RFE or NOA-2. Hold tight, I know how it feels...try filing a congressional inquiry with you local representative and see if that channel works, we’re currently going down that route whilst waiting. Hopefully both our cases get looked at soon. Don’t feel alone, we’re all hear for you. 😊

If you only called once so far, I hardly doubt that can qualify as pestering them. It's also their job to assist petitioners and answer some questions. So if you are having that hard of a time (and I have no doubt you are), then you should give it another try and ask if background checks have been done and all those things people advised to ask here before.

Regarding the 6 months mark, remember that goes by received date, so hopefully less than two weeks from now. That's another thing that you can mention if you call, because we've heard of some people finding nice Tiers 2 that were willing to start an inquiry for them even before that mark.

Best of luck!

You aren't posting negativity. I can completely understand the feeling of hopelessness combined with missing your fiancé so much.

If it is of any help, I know of a couple who were on the same boat as you. Their NOA2 came through by around 6 months. Thereafter, the process was much easier for them. At the moment, they are happily married... (This will be you two, hopefully; this time next year ♥️)

I am so sorry I can't give you a practical tip, and can only tell you things that won't change how you feel but please please remember that it is so close now...You aren't alone.

Try calling at 6 months mark again I think, especially if he has called more than once?

Anyway, hoping the best for you...
