Thank you so much for your response!

I am oddly and obsessively browsing through Google Flights to see how much flights are about 10 days from today...as an example of the price range we may be looking at..?

Not a bad idea, I would also suggest doing any flight looking with your browser in privacy mode. If it is blocking cookies at the time it will make it so they don't play with increasing pricing. Sometimes they move up rates if they see you looking a lot.

I know my Fiance always seems to use Cheapoair for her flight searches. It is how we found a reasonable price for her flight to Delhi from here back in February. It was only 10 days out and I want to say ~900-1000 which isn't bad for half way around the globe.

How do I put the browser on privacy mode?

It depends on the browser, typically in settings there is a privacy mode or a way to open a private tab to do that. I primarily use Firefox personally, there you go to the right side and open a new private window.

If you are using Internet Explorer you can go to settings, safety, and turn on inprivate browsing, ctrl shift p is the key shortcut.

FWIW, I think in Chrome on the top right there's three dots for the browser settings, and you can open a "New Incognito Window". Never used it but I assume that's the same thing

Question for anyone who called and found out you were approved and were getting your NOA2.... how long after your call did you receive a notification? Our status hasn't been updated nor have I received an email or text. Just curious because I'm gonna worry until I have something in writing ;)

Hi everyone, what is the number to call to see if we can get an NVC number before the "packet" arrives so that we can make the medical appointment with Knightsbridge in London asap?

Regarding medical prior to the interview....

The Philippines agency assisting us says that the hospital in Manila where the medical is performed (St Lukes) won't schedule an appointment without the letter or email from NVC, which we haven't received yet. All I have is the "Ready" notification on the NVC status tracker. I keep hearing here that they'll only need the case #/MNL # (which I have..), but the agency says otherwise.

Who's right?

Thanks.

You don't schedule a medical. You just show up with the proper paperwork.

According to Hank's site ( www.visaconnection-Philippines.com/medical---slec.html ) you can use either the NVC letter or the embassy interview confirmation page (I'm guessing because you need a MNL# to do that).  I'll ask my fiancée later what they asked for, but we had the NVC letter already.  Additionally, the person guiding me through this process told me that sometimes the NVC letter is erratic in arriving, so the web printout has been sufficient in the past.

Of course YMMV.

Poke around in the Philippine sub forum. It has probably been addressed there, or you could simply ask the gurus there.

Finally done.

You should be able to, with most browsers, just right-click on the shortcut and select either incognito mode or new private window or start in private browsing or something similar to that...

Thanks! We found out we were approved by calling and speaking to a Tier 2. We have gotten text and email notifications for all steps (NOA1, rfe, rfe response) but not for this. Makes me nervous!!

We were nervous even when we got the text!  Glad to have the paperwork in hand but I can only imagine how you're feeling.  This is just a big psychological waiting game and hopefully it won't be much longer for your hard copy!

Wishing you all the best and for speedy mail

For my RFE when I called it was flagged in the 1st and not mailed/updated until the 11th. However, VCP called on Friday and got an update on the website yesterday. So basically who on earth knows.

Forgive my thick head, but what do you mean by the "web printout"? I got the "Ready" notice online at the CEAC status tracker, but not anything in the US mail yet. Since I'm in NY and NVC is New Hampshire I assume whatever is coming from them should arrive in a few days. But still I'm not sure if I should expect something from them.

And I've never received any email from NVC saying anything. I called to get the MNL#, and later got "Ready" from the CEAC website.

Alt + PrtScreen  screenshot of the CEAC tracker  or pull it up on your phone and screenshot it - email it to your fiancee

SLEC will take it as proof of your immigration visa status

On rare occasions, they will accept the screenshot but not release the records until you get them the letter from NVC (probably in today's mail)  Have your fiance use the screenshot until you get the NVC letter.  Scan it and email it to her so she can take it to SLEC on the day she chooses to do her medical.
