Three weeks is not a weird average time, but you are right that's a bit enervating, considering it was being more around the two weeks lately...

I'm sure you already tried the different options when calling, 7 and 5?

Late November is still very much doable, since you have two whole months yet, so keep the spirit up :)

Yeah I always call twice a day. With options 5 and 7. I guess mine is just slower than the others. But I always thought "No matter how slow you go, forward is forward!" Lol.

I'm so happy for you though @Estibaliz! It's pretty exciting on our part as well because I've read your very first post that time you created this thread. Which turned out to be a very big help for all of us. You deserve the speedy journey. Goodluck and congrats again! :)

And I do hope to fly late November. Fingers crossed.

The VJ trends say that it's moving down from a high of 22 days to 18 days. It doesn't seem to jibe with other cases I've followed but who knows? I'm at 15 days myself and impatiently waiting. I thought about telling the NVC CSR when I called this morning that if they want to stop hearing from me then give me a case number!

Well I guess that's an OK news but we wished something faster/earlier. Some ppl had theirs after a couple of days from noa2. I guess they really haven't received ours. Got my noa2 9/5. It's been 21 days (including weekends) for me. I do hope we both get ours tomorrow! Goodluck! :)

Aww, thank you :)

As stated here before, we all deserve a nice speedy process  I don't know why USCIS disagrees on that one

Being prepared pays off but, as also said before, I know we've been lucky here. Some compensation law maybe, for all the hard times on previous years :)

I finally caved to the impatience and called today just to see if someone had my file collecting dust on their desk.  They told me they couldn't update me as there are no updates.  *big sigh* 150 some odd days later... I seriously feel for those who've been waiting longer than us.  I'm about to revert back to nail biting... ok whining over.  Good luck to all of charging ahead :)

Gosh. I'm very happy for the ppl who's gotten most of the process done; medical, interview, issuance. Congrats guys and gals!

In the meantime...

Called again today for my case # and still...nothing. Zero. Notta. Has anybody experienced this? I don't know if the 6 weeks spiel is real. But i hope it doesn't go that far cuz the noa2 approval notice has validity limits as we all know. Does anyone know anybody who's gotten their case number a little later than 20 days? Some of the ppl who has the same noa2 date as mine are almost done with the process. I really want my fiance and me to fly off late november. Do we have a chance? Lol

This week for sure. Call every day twice a day.

Regarding medical prior to the interview....

The Philippines agency assisting us says that the hospital in Manila where the medical is performed (St Lukes) won't schedule an appointment without the letter or email from NVC, which we haven't received yet. All I have is the "Ready" notification on the NVC status tracker. I keep hearing here that they'll only need the case #/MNL # (which I have..), but the agency says otherwise.

Who's right?

Thanks.

Hey everyone,

Interview date: October 13th.

Looks like it typically takes between 7-10 days for Visa to arrive via DHL if it is approved ;)

I was *ideally* hoping to make it home before November---so, do you all think it is possible if our Visa got to us on October 20th or something (ideally)- would we be able to find a plane ticket that would not cost like more than 600$ one way. I talked to someone who found a one-way flight for about $400 just a few days after Visa was in hand. Ahhh, what do you all think?

I was aiming for flights home for Fiance ~ 14 days after interview. You should probably be able to find a decent deal for a one way at the end of October. Might look around the 27th or 31st. Tuesday is cheaper at least inside the US for flights often.

Thank you so much for your response!

I am oddly and obsessively browsing through Google Flights to see how much flights are about 10 days from today...as an example of the price range we may be looking at..?
