I had an RFE for a bunch of stuff, it took 10 days to come back :)

I am hopeful for your timeline on that which would be this Friday for me. It helped when @vcpdragon got his information from calling on Friday. Even if the letter doesn't show up until next week knowing we got it at the end of this week would certainly help things.

Fiances mother had a seizure while we were talking last night and was taken to the hospital. She is ok, but good news would be welcome this week.

So the embassy in Manila received our case today, and the agency in Manila we're consulting with wants to wait to receive the documents from the consulate before we proceed with making any interview or medical appointments. Frustrating. I'm worried it will take forever for my fiance to receive the document in the mail, since the mail system in the Philippines is, well, slow at best. Especially since she's in a remote province.

Do the documents come by email? Should I press them to go ahead and make reservations since we have a case # (MNL#)?

Thanks.

It is ok, she had a stroke nearly 6 months ago now that should have killed her. The seizure is an after effect of that. Fiance just freaked out because her mom bit her cheek during it so there was some blood and she was terrified it was another stroke. All good just made for a long night for me. I think I got to sleep around 1:30 after she was coming back from the hospital.

And thanks, I have my fingers crossed as well Fiance wanted me to call on Wednesday this week and I convinced her it was best for me to wait until Friday.

I would let them know that you are moving forward!!!  If you have your MNL#, book the interview and medical!!!  The documents go from NVC to Manila electronically.  No way the Embassy would rely on PhilPost!!!  Go do it!  I could not imagine waiting if I had the MNL#.

Thanks, but the documents are already in Manila at the embassy, I'm wondering how long until they get into my fiance's hands so she can give them to the agency. If it's like a week then no big deal I'll just wait a few days.

What documents?  There is no Packet 3 in Manila!  You have everything you need.  You can see a copy of the "Welcome Letter" on Hanks or Greenbaums profiles.  Go to the Philippines forum.  They will guide you in for a safe landing.

The way I found that the embassy received it was going online to the CEAC status tracker and entering my MNL#. It said "Ready", and followed with this:

"Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have received interview scheduling instructions."

I assume they're waiting for the appointment letter from the embassy, or some notification that they are ready for us to schedule with them. I assume we should get a formal notification from the embassy ?

I'm confused.

Day 17 since rfe paperwork received at USCIS. I broke down and decided to call with the high hopes that maybe I just didn't get a notification. I've received email and texts notifications throughout the process so I guess I've been lucky in that sense! However because of that, my hopes weren't high. I spoke to a tier 2 who asked me a ton of questions before saying the magic words... you've been approved! Approval was last Friday, 14 days from the received date and 170 days from original received date.

Congratulations! So glad you finally got the good news!
