The tracker says 86 so I go with it , the cheat helps calm me lol

Lol, I hear you there. Whatever it makes us feel better

For me it's the opposite. If I go by the lowest number, then that helps me being more patient and calmer, since I think "Ok, it's soon, not time to freak out yet"

i saw that today 6 july they just proved a file from december 2016 so basicly thouse peaple were waiting over 190 day almost 200 day . i just can' t imagine there feelings or even me in that situation . but the good news about it that they started moving again lets hope we are close .

I didn't know they worked on a Saturday too. Because the notice date is the day it was entered into their system, not so?

I've always though Notice Date was when they actually processed the case first time, and Received Date... well, that's self explanatory  VJ Timeline goes by Notice Date for some reason, and I think that's why we refer to that date as NOA1 date... Received Date seems to be more useful in terms of knowing how far they have been working on cases and also I've read is the one you have to use as a reference to know if you are within normal processing times or not, based on USCIS website. 

Like if you have a received date March 10, but your Notice date is March 16, if they update it to say they are working March 15, then you go by received date and can start an inquiry.

Exactly as that's what uscis uses to determine how long they've had it.

I know I'm being bratty, but I really didn't honk background checks took this long. Everything I've researched said majority 2 weeks. Up to 6 months for extraordinary cases. We've hit the two weeks and when I called yesterday I got one of he ones who just read from the script, but it sounded like we were still in background check mode. I'm ready for this to be over. I'm frustrated with the whole "plan a wedding" but, but realistically can you? Because you have no idea when your booski will be here. I'm also majorly frustrated because the agency I work is having me transferred and it's going to suck major donkey and raccoon balls if he's not here before hand.

it's the most frustrating thing in the world. We're "only" 74 days in and losing our minds. My fiance is going to transfer his job too but waiting until I get there but I know how stressful it is for him too be living in limbo. Just not a normal way of living lol

Tracker for our case says 83 days, so as soon as you get any notice, please let us know!

That has me puzzled too. Maybe that's only the day they send notifications and they really worked on it the day before? Big mystery, but I've also seen a couple of people from March with a NOA2 dated on a Saturday, so definitely something happens then, though sure not they actually working on cases

 

And call me weird, you all, but I'm sticking to today being day 86, instead of 91 (received date) or even 98 (since we sent the petition). I'm trying to preserve my sanity here! LOL

Lol the game of numbers. It's so strange to me so I look Mon-Sat. I wish they would atleast send out updates maybe before bg checks . I think we deserve to be updated, but they rather have us pull our hair out or they must love the hundreds of calls daily
