Did you get an email? Makes sense, since your case was electronic, but there's also a high chance you don't get a letter then. Print that email, since it's the equivalent to the NVC letter, and you should be good to go :)

You know what actually nvc told me that Manila is not one of those electronic cases country. Phew hahahaha but I told them whatever just wanna move forward with the process since I am still working and we are planning to book a ticket before thanks giving. But I wanted to finish it all this oct.😉😉😉

Just shows how capricious they are.....  both are PH, both used option 7, I sent them an email and didn't get one back, but other case gets an email.  I got letter in the mail,  other has yet to get letter.

See how they keep us guessing???

Lol, option 2, 3, 5, 7

Hi !!! I received my NOA2 Hard Copy with a notice date of September 19th, but online on the USCIS website it said September 20th, has anyone else had this happen? Should I go by the hard copy date or the date on the USCIS website? Anyway, I'm really glad to receive the hardcopy so early, and I'm hoping to get the NVC Case # ASAP so that we can make arrangements to move everything along quickly.

Risk vs Reward or better said...... Gambling

If you are willing to lose the cost of the ticket or at least the cost of rescheduling it, by all means, but is an 11 day VOH normal for your embassy??

Sounds pretty close for me :D

Exactly! Gambling is the word, and that one might be a bit risky.

I've been taking a look to Peru's timelines for recently interviews, and though there's a lot being delivered in around a week after the interview, there's others in the 10-14 time frame. I also saw one that took over a month because they had to go through some administrative reviewing and back for a second interview, apparently.

So I'd say leave at least 15 days between the interview and the POE and, most important, be willing to assume the extra cost of changing flights, just in case.

Good luck!

Yes, I think everyone that got an update through the tracker (not my case) said the date there was one day after the real notice date for the approval. Always use the NOA2 hardcopy as a reference, since that's the official document you need to keep like pure gold, since it's required for the AOS later on.

Maybe try to call NVC on Friday, since that will be 10 days after the approval, though most likely you'll get your case # the first week of October, as per the average waiting times.

Yay for progressing on your journey :jest:

It's a huge relief to know it was the case for others, even though its 1 day to me it makes a big difference. It was a nice surprise to see that it even arrived so quickly after seeing the approval on the tracker. Is it true that after the case # is received my fiance can apply for the visa, schedule the dr's appointment, and schedule the interview? I'm just happy that my case is finally moving along, before I felt absolutely miserable!

Hey guys!

May 5th filler here! Waiting for NO2.  I have a question.  I have been an Au Pair in US for two years, do I need to bring the  criminal record from US to the Embassy ? ( as they require criminal record from countries you lived in for more then 6 months ) I'm 99% positive I don't need that as they do the background check in US, but just want to be 100% sure :D

Thank you

The US will automatically do all the back ground checks on you for any activity here in the USA so yeah no need to go to US embassy for that hehe

Good Sunday morning to all.

Can't wait for Monday LOL - CSC activity soon.

Anyways I was refreshing IGOR's list which I do several times a day and sure enough ONE more approval for 9/22 (Friday) popped up bringing us to the total of 2 for that day far short of the 5 average.

Well the case was not at all what it first seemed.

It say NOA 1 was July 7th and approved just over 2 months later on 9/22

WOW must have been a military expedite I thought.

I went to their homepage and saw Nigeria

Then I saw they were posting way back in 2016.

Yeah this was not a 2 month expedite it was a 1 year and 2 month journey from hell.

Congrats to them none the less.

I can't even imagine.

Well, according to the information on the Embassy's website, you need to wait for them to contact you: https://fr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/

It seems plausible to me, because that's the case for Spain too: you are not allowed to do anything until they authorize you... but, as usual, and since everything is now country specific, the best thing to do is to contact someone else on VJ that had already gone through the process in Paris :)
