Hey guys!

May 5th filler here! Waiting for NO2.  I have a question.  I have been an Au Pair in US for two years, do I need to bring the  criminal record from US to the Embassy ? ( as they require criminal record from countries you lived in for more then 6 months ) I'm 99% positive I don't need that as they do the background check in US, but just want to be 100% sure :D

Thank you

My Embassy instructions said that present and former residents in the US don't need to get police certificates, so I'm also 99.9% sure you don't need that :)

Yes, that has me panicking more than a little. What happens if the NOA date is passed?

It wouldn't be a problem. They can extend the validity of the NOA2, and I think it would be an easy fix, considering is their own fault since there's no appointments available.

So wait to see what happens, and contact them about it, if necessary, later on.

A blessed Sunday to everyone! I would just like to ask esp for those who have Fianceé's from the Philippines. Once we get the case #s from NVC, can I schedule the medical and interview for the following weeks? Or do I need to wait the NVC letter from my Fiancè to present during med. exam and interview? Thanks in advance! This is April, the beneficiary.☺

Looks like your NVC number will be available any day now.  Call everyday to check on it.  When you get the number, track it here

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Go ahead and do online registration for SLEC.  Print a screenshot of the NVC number for them.  They may not release the medical records without the actual letter your fiance will get from NVC when it is sent "In Transit" but don't worry, those letters from NVC always seem to appear just in time.  When your F gets the letter, have him scan and send it to you.  As soon as you get the NVC number, you should be able to plan a couple days to go to MNL for medical.  After the CEAC tracking site says 'IN TRANSIT", the letter will arrive in your F mailbox in 3 to 5 days.

Complete the DS-160.  Don't worry if the stupid thing doesn't upload the photo, you can just take a photo with you to interview.

Print the Interview payment slip, and pay at bank.  Says 4 hrs later you can schedule interview but reality is up to 24 hours.

When the CEAC tracker says 'READY', schedule the interview.

If you have a day that you don't know what to - do NBI and CENOMAR    -     Remember if you have any aliases, or if BC was changed to correct a mis-spelling, you need an AKI for the alias or wrong spelling too.  Also, Schedule CFO and get that out of the way.  Appts are about 2 weeks booked up.  You will need a LOT of documents about you and your F for CFO so assemble them.  Double check your BC is from PSA and not any other source.

Is there an instance that the letter didn’t arrived? Some girls in PH had their medical on In Transit status was able to finish and the slec said they will just forward it to the embassy also some tried having a medical without an interview yet coz they wanted to make sure they just book right away when their done with medical and when the status gets ready. On my end my status is currently in transit last Friday when do you think it will say ready?

Anything can happen, I suppose it could get lost in the mail, but it's worth a little risk to get it done sooner Some girls in PH had their medical on In Transit status was able to finish and the slec said they will just forward it to the embassy also some tried having a medical without an interview yet coz they wanted to make sure they just book right away when their done with medical and when the status gets ready. That's a good plan, too.  On my end my status is currently in transit last Friday when do you think it will say ready? Mine changed to ready after the next business day, so my guess would be in 16 hours

So we can still have our medical without an NVC letter if incase it doesn’t come on time. Also we got an email that it was sent to usembassy

Did you get an email? Makes sense, since your case was electronic, but there's also a high chance you don't get a letter then. Print that email, since it's the equivalent to the NVC letter, and you should be good to go :)

Really? But you got your number calling option 5 and you got an email, which is something they do with electronic cases... so I'm puzzled now, lol.

As you say, whatever, as long as everything keeps working and moving on :jest:

But yeah whatever as long as the status change to ready then I’m good.☺️

Morning!

Our interview is scheduled for October 13th! We are trying to decide if we can buy tickets before the interview for October 24th! What do you guys think? I really want to hear the word "yes" ;)

Risk vs Reward or better said...... Gambling

If you are willing to lose the cost of the ticket or at least the cost of rescheduling it, by all means, but is an 11 day VOH normal for your embassy??

Sounds pretty close for me :D

Hey, thought i'd introduce myself! Me and my partner had our NOA1 received on the 18th April so been 159 days since then. Hopefully we'll get lucky soon, certainly been the toughest part being so potentially close! It's been good hear others who applied around the same time have been hearing back.
