Congrats on the visa approvals guys @Rev and @Estibaliz :jest:

Thanks for the well wishes @AnJ Co but yesterday was just my Medical exam! I've got another 3 weeks until my interview ^_^

I didnt have chance to post yesterday, it was such a long day. I left the house at 8am to head down to London for a 15:10 medical appt. I didnt arrive home until 23:00. CRAZY and tiring.

Heres a detailed summary for those UK filers still to do the medical:

  • I got the train to London at arrived at Euston at 13:10 with 2 hours to spare (incase of delays). I walked from Euston to Oxford Street to pass some time. The walk took 30 mins but the weather was fine out. From Oxford Street, knightsbridge is only a 10 min walk.
  • I arrived outside at 14:50 and pressed the button on the wall for flat 4 (medical centre). They let me in and the door to enter knightsbridge is to your right.
  • The ladies on reception were very nice and told me since I was early to take a seat and come back to the desk 5 mins before my appt time. I returned, handed them all my documents (pictures X4, medical questionaire, vaccine records, patient care summary, police certificate, passport and letter from NVC).
  • They handed me a clipboard with two forms to fill out (basically a repeat of what I already gave them, *sigh*) and a urine sample pot and bag to place it in.
  • After filling that out I waited for ~15 mins before being called to x-ray. Very striaghtforward, take off top, stand against x-ray board and get dressed again. She said all was fine and to sit back in the waiting room.
  • About 5 mins later the nurse called me in to discuss my vaccines. This literally took 30secs since I didnt need any vaccines doing. She explained I would receive a form at the end for my AOS (as people have mentioned on here).
  • Now here comes the long wait ... over an hour later, I was called to see the doctor. A very nice Eastern Asian looking man. He appologised for the wait and told me that the patient before me was quote *a very, very complicated case*. He put me at ease right away by making a couple of jokes. I signed some forms and he worked out my BMI. I sat on the bed and read the bottom line of the opticians board. He checked my knee-jerk reflexes, loked over my hands and arms, in my eyes, ears and mouth and told me to lie down. He took my BP, HR and commented on how fast my heart was beating (LOL). Took some blood and asked me to unbutton my shirt. He pushed on my stomach and checked my lungs using a stethoscope. AND THAT WAS IT! A TOTAL OF 10 MINS! He then commented ... 'you're the quickest case I have done today, thank you' and told me I was all done.

In total .. 20 mins in with doctors/nurses/xray and 1 hour 30 in the waiting room.

** a quick comment for all those who may be worrying about this: I had a previous 'serious problem' listed on my patient care summary. It clearly states in the knightsbridge email that you have to bring reports for this. I did not take any reports (didnt know where to even begin looking). The doctor simply mentioned - ahh I see you had gall stones and had your gall bladder removed at age 17. I said yes and he said thats fine. I would imagine for something more permenent - epilepsy, HIV, diabetes, MS etc you would need these reports. But for something not ongoing dont worry yourself about getting medical reports. You'll be fine with the patient care summary.

Sorry for the long post haha. But hope this helps someone and im glad its over with.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this info AND congratulations on where you are in the process right now!

I'm anxiously waiting NOA2 (day 136 May filer) but feel with all this good news in April and start of May posts something, anything, surely will come soon !!

There's so much to think about with the forms needed and the medical - will they make me so star jumps whilst taking blood, anything's possible with this crazy process lol so your post has given me some relief of what to expect when I get to Knightsbridge!!

Feel like I'm on the K1 monopoly board - next stop I hope to be passing GO with my NOA2.

Best wishes with the next steps and thank you again April filers for providing much needed optimism for all us waiting ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

So we got our nao2 finally!! Was wondering from people already who have gotten through further processes, about how long does it take for the NVC to get a case number for us and for the consulate to call my fiance and get her interview date?  She is in paraguay.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

10 to 21 days

Congrats.  Update your timeline for NOA 2 when you can

Thank you! :)

I'm guessing my visa will be issued at some point next week, and a few more days to arrive, but I'm not in a big rush because I'm having my POE October 20th. Gary is coming October 8th and we are flying home together :D

If it hadn't been me, someone else would have started this thread and it would have been equally great, because it's the people here what makes it so good. You've had your rough times (hopefully that will be over soon), but sure enough you have done a lot for all of us with your fun and positive attitude, so we're even :P

Hopefully your congressional inquiry is more helpful than mine was. All I got back was the typical line from Tier 1 about normal processing times blah blah blah. The humor is that the inquiry they got back was after the RFE was flagged on the 1st of September but before it shipped.

I will keep my fingers crossed that you get an update this evening and are able to buoy my hopes with it.

About the only positive this week is that the items from Bronner's will be delivered tomorrow so we have everything ready for her addition to the family Christmas traditions at least.

Love coming on here and seeing everyone's happy news! Sending positive thoughts to those still waiting for some progress, we are all rooting for you!

I booked the medical for me and my son this morning, so exciting to finally be moving forward. Do you have to wait for your case to be at the embassy before you book your interview does anyone know please?

Technically if you follow the instructions on the US embassy London website you should wait until the case is ready before filling DS-160 out, booking your medical and booking your interview.

This is a question I kept asking for a long while and got the same answer off people ... 'wait until ready before doing anything'. Having now been to the medical, I know that you need no proof of it being 'ready' on the tracker. Having said that... I did need to take my letter from the US embassy with me and they asked for it at the desk.

The only reason I would still advise people to wait is because I'm really not sure what would happen if Knightsbridge sent your medical results to the US embassy before the embassy actually got your case. Would they just throw away your results because they have no record of your case?

Im very sure you'll have no issues having already booked the medical though. So congrats on that!

But I would definitely wait until it's ready to book your interview etc.

Good luck!

Well... After over 3 months of waiting for the NOA2, we are now bracing ourselves for the new and apparently broader and tougher travel ban... It was already difficult waiting for the NOA2, and thanks to TheOrangeClown we now have to sit and wait to read the new travel ban which will probably be anounced on this very weekend.. I'm just hoping and praying that there might be some exemptions for family members and Fiance so we can continue our case forward. I know you all are already having a hard time waiting for your own case to be finalized, but please pray for us if you believe in praying, to pas this very stressful and difficult time.

Sorry if I made anyone or everyone more sad, but I just wanted to share how me and my fiance are feeling now.

Wish u all luck

My medical is 12 days away so hoping that's enough time for my case to get to NVC! I'll definitely wait for the case to be ready before I book the interview though. Slightly worried about the letter as I'm moving out of my house in 2 weeks and the mail redirect is notoriously slow down here but I've been told I might not need it when I asked in the UK section. Thanks for your advice :)
