Does anyone else know any information on the required police certificates needed for the interview? My Fiancé is from Brasil and I just read that she will need police certificates from the Federal Police just one single document and the State Police for every state she has lived in for over 6 months for the past 5 years. Or does this only apply if she has been arrested?

My understanding is the beneficiary will need to provide a certificate for every place they have lived in the past five years whether they have been arrested or not. A clean certificate is good!

Yes, but is it Country specific or go down to the State or Province level?

Apparently in Brazil they need both, the Federal one and the different one for each state they lived in. OP already got great information from someone going through the same country

I tell ya, this group is amazing and this site is wonderful.  So many helpful people and great information.  Wish I had known about it before I put together the packet, but I am extremely happy to have found it now.

I checked the embassy site for Brasil, but I would supply both federal and state just to be safe. Too much is better than not enough ... I think  ... Good Morning to you all as well. It is a beautiful day here in Alabama ... hot as you know what but the sun is shining :-) and AC is working just fine!

Yes, too much is always better than not enough.    

I bet it is humid as all... as well.  Working AC is always a good thing.

From what I have read, if you've lived, or worked in another country for 6 months or more, you must provide a police certificate from that country. The police certificate is supposed to be from the given area you lived. I haven't seen a requirement for a federal certificate. My fiancee lives in Kosovo which only has one police entity which is the Kosovo Police so it should be all-encompassing. I would assume there may be differences based on the consulate.

Alright, today is officially day 90! I never imagined any updates before 3 months but I definitely felt like once we hit 90 days it could come at any time. Yippee!

I am also thankful Ive found VJ and does belong to this group, you are right this group is amazing as everybody is so helpful. And yes just like you too I wished we have found this site before we put together our packet. But then nevertheless since it's still seem to be a long journey I am just glad to be having all the additional information . Good morning everyone in US! It is almost midnight here in Manila but still can't sleep as I am waiting for my love to be on break so we can at least talk before I sleep. The day is never complete when I don't get to see him and talk to him before I close my eyes 😊. 86 since NOA1, 91 since received date. We have almost the exact same timeline

It could be any day, though I don't think I'm seeing mine before the estimate... Oh well

Hopefully next week we'll see movement around here.

Hello.. since we tackle already the K2. And the Payment for Visa ,, im confused still if until when is the Visa fee for k1 valid?? Because the situation is, i still havent got the passport for My k2, and i know its needed for paying the Visa Fee.. so im planning to pay for my Visa fee first then just follow My K2's... will it be Ok if i by the Time Im going to Pay for k2 visa, out approval validity is almost over or has been past the Approval validity Date??? 

 

Can someone enlighten me this? ThankyOu so Much... im mostly a lurker here ..

Yes, and I noticed the timeline was pushed back a day. Wahhh!! 😉 Oh well, it is what it is I guess. I think we are all waiting to see what happens next week. The holiday certainly affected speed this week. I'm anxious to see some of the folks on here announcing their status updates!
