Well done to all those new NOA-2 people and best of luck to a few of you with your interviews today.

Sadly still awaiting for news after 5 months, we hoped we’d get new on our 5 month mark yesterday but now it feels like the beacon of light is slowly fading away. :(

Trying to keep positive as there is still 2 more working days...

Hi! Question. I tried calling the nvc the past monday and tuesday. I called twice in both days. Each I pressed 5, and the other one 7. I hope I'm not doing it wrong. My petition was approved on September 5th and we got the physical mail on the 9th. I've been seeing people with the same timelines as mine already has their case number. Am I calling too early? Any advise? Thanks!

I've been calling every day this week and our approved date is 7th September, I think it's just another waiting game. Hopefully not too long for both of us!

I've been calling (603) 334-0700 and then pressing option 1 for english followed by option 3. Does anyone know if that's right?

Hello @Sally08 and @Salty2305 correct number and correct option. I got mine by using option 5.. But I know it all goes to same department and their IVR will let them know what type of incomming call depending on the option you choose.

So it doesn’t matter. Some people uses 5 some 7 or 2. Just keep calling. They always ask about the notice date so I am guessing thats where they based the nvc case number. You should have it soon, maybe before end of the week. 😊 a little more patience.

Correct number. From what other's have posted 1 for English then 5 or 7. I've been using 5. Still get the canned line of "it takes 6 weeks".

I'm sure that option 3 is something like to check the status of your case but maybe I'll give 5 or 7 a go tonight. I phoned yesterday to check and the guy on the phone literally gasped when I told him our NOA2 date, told me to call back in a month. :jest:

I can't imagine how difficult it is for you guys to stay positive! The waiting sucks.

Have you thought about contacting the congress office? Our congressional inquiry was submitted on the 5th September and we were approved 2 days later, may have just been a coincidence though. It definitely helps your state of mind to know you have someone helping you though.

Good luck!

Yeah. The 6 weeks line tends to aggravate me. Not only is it not true to 99% of the cases but it's another example of our government setting the bar low to expect nothing from them until the very last moment. I've been tempted to hang up before he can get to the 6 weeks line but my aversion to rudeness won't let me. It would be my luck I'd get the same CSR the next time I called and they'd remember me. I wouldn't even bother calling but as soon as I have the number I can send it to my fiancee so she can alert a friend at the embassy that it's on its way.

It's so frustrating! I'm eager to get everything done as quickly as possible as I finish my job and move out of my house on October the 6th, I've also been homeschooling my son so that he didn't have to start the school year here and then leave to start at another school and he's really starting to miss school and the social aspect.

Hurry up NVC, we all have plans! haha just kidding

Finally . . . four weeks later our package was sent to the consulate yesterday. My fiance is getting her exam done at this very moment and hope to get the interview scheduled asap.

Sending good wishes to those still waiting, I hope today proves to be a great one!

Finally indeed! Glad to hear that's over and you are already speeding up things. Soon you'll be together and no need to buy more feminine products without supervision :D
