Thank you. Yes we got the email last night! Good luck to everyone else and for everyone's information, my VJ timeline was just 1 day off and we did everything without an attorney! :D

Congrats on the approval! :jest: Actually I think I just saw that on the app :)

I feel like this every day. I actually had a dream the other night that we were approved. But when I woke up I had such anxiety I thought I was going to be sick. I too think about the possibility of changing our plans and me moving there instead. After almost 6 months it's hard not to think like that. Hopefully in the next couple days we'll both here something and be on our way forward!!

Amen to that. Sending good vibes so you and @vcpdragon got your NOA2's soon, and preferably this week

Hello Everyone :) Just wondering what current waiting times have been like from receiving the NOA2 to organising interviews and medicals etc? Thanks

2 months sounds like a good realistic average. Usually you see cases a bit under that mark, specially if things go fast with NVC :)

Thanks hun :)

Also can I ask you as you seem to know a lot of this stuff? Can we get a co-sponsor for affidavit of support? I'm not sure Matt reaches the threshold amount as he wasn't in work last year thru spending so much time in England. :(

Of course you can have a cosponsor, and both of them, Matt and the co-sponsor, have to fill in the i134 plus send the corresponding supporting documents.

Phew I was getting stressed lol so they both do the i134? I read somewhere that it's the i1864 for a cosponsor but that it's not always accepted on k1s. I think I'm driving matt crazy because everyday it's something new I'm stressing about lol

I'm not super familiar with co-sponsoring, but definitely both use the i134, because the i864 is the one for AOS that is also legally binding.

I know London Embassy admits self sponsorship, but I don't think I've ever heard they don't admit co-sponsoring. I'm sure there has to be someone else from UK around here in that situation, it would be nice if someone could chime in and confirm that :)

So after I called the nvc on Monday and gave them the wrong case number, I called yesterday again. And they told me the case still wasn't there and I was suggested to call again and try option 7 as Moscow cases are not electronic. So I did it today and got the case number! Yaaay. The man on the line was very nice,he told me they got it 2 days ago and now the case will be soon sent to Moscow.

Ive already checked the ceac website and there's a link to 6 nvc steps. But my fiancé hasn't got the letter from nvc yet. So, the question of mine now is: do we need to do these steps asap? What is aos and iv fees? Do they need to be paid right now? So those 6 steps thing got me confused now. Any help will be appreciated! 😊

First, congratulations on getting your case #. One step closer to the end of your journey :)

Second, ignore the 6 steps message, because that's a generic one from NVC, that it seems to apply to other types of visa, no K1's.

Third, I guess iv stands for immigrant Visa, and AOS is the Adjustment of Status, that is the next step in the process of getting the residence (green card) after getting married. Take a look at the guides about that, because you are supposed to adjust your status after the wedding and in the 90 days frame so you don't find yourself out of legal status in the US, and it's a costly process ($1235 if I'm not remembering wrong).

Thank you! You're very helpful here.

So you guys haven't been paying anything at the time of nvc except for visa fee? When should it be paid then? Are we supposed to wait till the case is in transit or even ready at the embassy?
