We are the same way, we don't want a large complicated wedding.  My fiancee doesn't even want to worry about the white wedding dress.  I'm more than happy as I'm not a fan of the white wedding dress either.   Although we do plan to do Vegas or somewhere close to Disney or Knotts Berry Farm for our wedding.   I'm knocking on wood here...

Congrats!  It seems like the NOA1 is taking a few days longer than it has been.  All those Feb & Mar filers perhaps.  Hopefully that doesn't mean longer NOA2 times.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great weekend. Wanted to welcome all the new April filers to the thread. Hope the couples that are waiting for their NOA1's get a notification soon. Fingers crossed and knocking on wood for you all. It's Easter and I always find the holidays lonely when I am not spending them with my fiancé or my family. I live in Ontario and my mom and my brothers all live in British Columbia. I am looking forward to when Michael and I get to spend all the holidays together and we get to start our own traditions. 

To answer the earlier question about what we are doing for our wedding. We are not traditional in the sense of a big wedding. We are planning to have a small ceremony by the Guadalupe River which we have both come to love as our serenity spot. We both have family and friends in other cities so we are planning to travel to them and celebrate with them in their cities. Wishing you all a wonderful day or evening depending where you are. 😊

Nice to have you aboard.    As you know, up here in Seattle, we are not too far from the BC border  I hope to make it up there a couple of times this summer.  As far as holidays go,  it's very possible to get approvals before Christmas.  Good luck!!

March filer who is snooping on your thread.  Welcome to the crazy world of waiting. Funny my fiance and I were talking the other day about looking forward to making our own holiday traditions. He always is asking me about mine and I am like well we never really had any due to my parents being divorced since I was 8 and then my stepdad moving in when I was 18 and his kids kinda just brought their traditions which didn't include us at all. I was living 10 hours away for 14 years from the time I was 21 and I actually avoided going home for Christmas because I didn't want to with all his kids there minus the two youngest they were cool and I am good friends with both today. I spent many holidays alone wishing I had family that was closer. I totally feel you except that two years ago I moved in with my Mum in my hometown because I got a job 20 mins away in the next town over. 

 

As for wedding my fiance and I are just doing a small wedding not long after I enter. I have a good friend that lives in Denver who will come down to The Springs as my witness and my fiance has a few friends that will come for him. My Mum is thinking she will fly down as well and come and maybe bring my niece who is 11 if that works out.

Hi everyone and welcome to the new filers.

 

For some crazy reason the website has not been working for me for over three days. I've just found out it works out if I disconnect my WiFi (so shortly messaging from the phone), but doesn't allow me to edit my Timeline.

 

So here's my brief update: NOA1 hardcopy received yesterday (3/17) and it turns out our Notice Date is actually 3/11, a day earlier than we got the text/email.

Also they didn't make any mistakes with my name, so yeah!  (Believe me, it happens often...).

 

Good luck everyone... I hope this WiFi thing is soon fixed. Pretty annoying

Seriously, just dont do it. UPS is the cheapest at the moment (approx £30 for 1-2 days delivery)

Hello everyone! I sent in my forms April 7th from South Africa, but just mailed them from here directly to the dropbox since I am only here on a visitors visa and couldn't do direct consular filing. Just got my receipt sent to my family in the US that everything was accepted, and am very excited to get the process started!! Glad to have this group for support  I sent my folder from South Africa on the 7th and my check got cashed in Texas on the 13th. Now its been sent to California, is that weird since I am from Pennsylvania?

Apparently now they send all the K1 petitions to the California Service Center, so don't worry, it's perfectly normal.

Hey everyone! 

It's 3:45 here and my fiance just called to let me know that we finally received our NOA1 🎉🎊

Apparently the email notification service didn't work. But right now I'm just happy to be officially part of the April filers. Special thanks to @Estibaliz, your finger crossing works. 

So here's our timeline so far : 

USCIS sent 03/27/2017

USCIS received 04/06/2017

NOA1 04/11/2017

I/we are an April filer too, we sent our i-129F packet last April 17, 2017 and expected to be delivered April 19, 2017. I/we are praying that our documents will be properly handled. Just like the rest of you, I/we are excited in this new journey.
