It really breaks my heart long time wait and then got denied. In the notice says they sent me the hard denied latter and I didn't received it which is the reason why they denied my case and options.  :(

I hate to hear this news ... Hang in there ...there are more options for you I'm sure!

Hi all.   April 14th filer just received noa2 today.   Fiance will interview at Frankfurt.   What do I do now?   Just wait for the instructions to arrive by mail?

Congratulations on your NOA2! :jest:

As you have already being advised, start calling NVC for the case# in around 10 days-2 weeks. That's very useful for you, because in Germany you can have your medical anytime once you know this information.

But regarding the rest of the steps, check the Embassy's website:

https://de.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee/how-to-apply/

You need to wait for them to contact you with packet 3 and send them a few documents by mail before scheduling your interview. You have to wait for them to authorize you before doing so.

If you have any doubt, I'm sure my friend @TearsOfBabylon from the March filers can help you out with the specifics. She's supernice :)

Received Packet 3 yesterday, responded today saying all documents are ready to go. Embassy emailed back with Interview date of Oct. 4 and some instructions about picking up passport and what not, so I guess we got Packet 4 already??? Jakarta doesn't need anything prior to interview luckily.

Yep, that's packet 4 :D

Congratulations on having a date for the interview. Now you can really count the days for this to be over. Well, except for the last wait until visa in hand :)

Congratulations @Salty2305! Finally! I'm happy for you. I think you're good. You've got everything covered. All you need to have is the case number. Then you can fill up ds160 too

Our case is now "Ready" status starting this morning (Thursday).  Happy 😊 & Excited.

What's interesting is that the DHL tracking (that you use to track the package once it is in transit) has a planned delivery for "By End of day Friday" . In other words, DHL is on its way to deliver the package to the embassy but the NVC tracker shows "Ready" before the physical delivery of the packages (about a day ahead).  (Just adding more info to the knowledge base for curious people  who loves details 😀😀)

Question: Can my fiancé now submit  the DS-160 and schedule the interview or may be she need to wait a little bit for the letter (packets) from the embassy? I did not get any communication from NVC as of today.

Have you tried to search for someone else from your country that had already gone through the process? I've taken a look to the Embassy's website and it only shows generic information, so not helpful at all.

When in doubt, you can always email the Embassy and ask for specifics :)

Good luck!

Ok this might seem wierd, but I am reading through the guide on the US Embassy site for Nepal and it is saying to fill out the DS-260 instead of the DS-160. Not sure if the guide is just out of date or what.

It's the same when you check the US Embassy website here, in Spain. The information there also mentions the DS260 and i864, probably because is generic for all the K visas, including the spousal ones.

However, when I got the instructions (packet 3) it does state to use the DS160 and i134, so don't worry and go ahead with the right documents for a K1 Fiancé Visa :)

I would have came on here sooner to let everyone know how his medical went, but I've been busy filling out wedding invitations. His medical was at the Anzac Square Medical Center, and the appointment was for 10:45am. He got there at 10:28am. He wrote me at 10:32am letting me know he was checking in. At 10:39am, he started doing the urine sample. He had to sit for a little while and wrote me a message at 10:57am to tell me that he was waiting for the doctor, and was called in at 11am. At 11:33am he wrote me back saying he was done with the doctor. He had to get a flu shot, the doctor asked him some questions, and the doctor told him so far everything looks good, he looks healthy. They didn't check him for cuts (he had a cut from a long time ago). He showed the doctor his signed off paper from Peter Watt (the psychiatrist he was seeing earlier this year), and the doctor seemed satisfied with everything from what my fiancee said, and then sent him to pathology. At 11:55 he wrote me another message saying that pathology took him straight in. He got blood and another urine sample done. They then told him he had to get a chest x-ray next, so they sent him to another building (Citi Scan) for that. He messaged me at 12:28 letting me know he was at Citi Scan getting the chest x-ray. He wrote me another message at 12:54 letting me know his medical was finished and completed.

So, he did his medical from 10:28am - 12:54pm, and they told him they were mailing his large express post envelope back to him for him to take the results of his medical to his interview.

All in all, the medical didn't last very long. It's complete. :) He said the staff was nice and from what he can see, everything went smooth.

Now, we have his interview on the 26th at 8:45 am, so he's taking Train Link again and leaving the 24th, just in case of delays using public transportation. He'll get in Sydney on the 24th around 8pm, spend the 25th preparing everything one last time, then his interview's on the 26th, and he's leaving Sydney on the 27th. It was hard to find a cheap hotel for the 3 nights he's gonna stay in Sydney, but after browsing for a few hours I found a reasonable one with wifi so me and him can talk as much as possible.

So, that's our update. Hope everyone else is getting through this process smoothly. Just the interview now, which by the way, I'm going crazyyyyy waiting for it. I swear, it's like since we scheduled the interview it's going slow. Probably because I really cannot wait for him to go to it.

On the bright side, at least the medical is COMPLETE!!!! :)

Oh, and he's up to date on all his vaccinations for America, so no worries with that during AOS. He's gonna leave within the 1st or 2nd week once he receives his visa in the post.

Yay! Congrats on being a step closer :jest:

Medical was the real game changer for me, in terms of making everything feel so real now and close to the end. Nice feeling :)

Yes u can call NVC within 10 days from receiving your Noa2. You need to have the Petitioners name and d.o.b along with yours and the WAC #. See if they have your case and go from there
