Just a quick update on our case:

Today is the first day of our VJ timeline estimate!!! So that's very exciting, but it's making me antsier than ever for progress! I called USCIS yesterday and spoke to a Tier 2. He said that they had already done a background check and name check. I don't know if that might mean we're getting closer? But he also said an officer had been assigned to my case when it was first received at the service center. If that's the case, that's a bit scary, because that would leave a lot of time for variability between a slow and fast adjudicator.

Anyway, I'm really hoping that the VJ estimate is correct and we get approved in the next few days (although the way the case updates are going, we could possibly not know we had been approved until a week after the fact). I'm hoping I wasn't being overly optimistic in my expectations about when he would be able to enter the country - we were planning on having a Halloween party (partially to celebrate the ending of long distance) and we have tickets to a show on November 2nd! Not to mention I will just be very sad if we have to wait any longer than that to be together.

I suppose it's exciting in a way, but USCIS has basically to take the estimates on the site with a grain of salt since they are "still working on cases from February 1st". I kind of agree judging by the number of times the timeline estimates have changed, even processing dates have gone back and forth between April 26-April 27th. I would be thankful just to have my fiance here in time for Thanksgiving or Christmas. This process is taxing for many and still there are some people from March and most of April waiting, it feels never ending. I talked to a Tier 2 person supposedly, and I didn't feel that she took a serious look into anything so for now I will just wait. My NOA date was April 26th, I just feel like there's a long list so I will have my turn eventually.

Ofc ill reply!

Took 13 days since  NOA2 date. And they said it was under AP ..Idk how long that is gonna last but Im gonna keep my hopes up that its nothing major.

Thanks for the update. From the current timelines it looks like the average NVC receive to left time 2 days now. I’m not sure if AP is occurs in that 2 day timeframe.

Okay, so my fiance is at the CFO interview now..while we waited for our NOA2 we went ahead and got her vaccinations..apparently that wasn't right and st lukes is going to give her all of them again...is this true? Was that a waste of money and time?

You really need to consider putting in your timeline so people will have a better idea of where you are in the process and it will give you a better idea of when to possibly expect your NOA 2 although according to your message above you don't have it but you got the CFO and vaccines already? I guess no harm in an early CFO but part of the medical fee includes the vaccines weather she gets them or not they charge as if she were to have them all. Bring the documents from her doctor to St. Lukes some of those you don't want double dosage especially in such a short period of time.

Ok I can see it all now. Congrats. Yes case should be to Embassy before long.

The worst part is all behind you guys.

No cell phones at the Embassy and just tell your significant other to smile and be positive with the interviewer and they will be fine.

I really hate how this process is putting your life in limbo with your lease, I'm sure there are many in this situation. I We even planne  our wedding for December 31st and bought plane tickets and we are expected to make final payments and so on, and it's sad that we still have no word on our case. Here month-to-month leases are available in some cases, maybe you can work it out with your property manager. It's such a difficult place to be in. :/ Maybe he spoke with the same Tier 2 rep that I spoke with, is there someone else about Tier 2 that we can speak with? I'm hoping that we both have some news to give us a sense of what to do, this is beyond crazy!

Yes, I said that before. The hardest thing is not knowing when.. If I  had a date, even if it was far away at least I could organise my life up until that point and not live in the unknown.. Haha yes that is possible, the Tier 2 lady he spoke to said that everyone that filed in April and said that they've gotten the NOA2 are liars lol my baby was like yea ok, I know that's not true for a fact. Anyways, we've booked an appointment with the Info centre on Monday 18th. Maybe this is something that you could look into? I'm not sure if we'll get any further information but at least you get to talk to a person face to face and they can look at your case. I;m just hoping that I'll be there for Christmas at this point or even NYE.. lol

Hi! Question! If I call the NVC for my case number and let's say they were able to provide it, do they send mail as well? And if so, do they send it to my u.s. mailing address or my fiance's (beneficiary) address? And is the mail that important to be taken to the interview or anywhere else for that matter?

My fiancee made it to Brisbane a few hours ago. We've just been spending time together and will probably take a nap in a few minutes since he hasn't gotten much sleep (we like to nap together on Skype.) In a few hours I have to go grocery shopping so when it's 8am here my time, it will be roughly 10pm 9/13 in Australia, and his medical is the next day at 10:45am in the morning. I don't know how long on average the medical goes for, but I know he will spend the entire day in Brisbane, and then he leaves Brisbane on the 15th to go back to his town. It's funny because by the time he gets back in his town, he will only get a few days before he will be leaving again to go to Sydney for the interview. Each day that passes makes me more and more exicted.

In the meantime while I was waiting to speak to him today, I was filling out our wedding invitations that I'm going to send out. We have so far 53 people to invite to our reception. I'm not sure if anyone else has ever done it like this, but how were doing it is were planning on getting married in October, but having the reception in November. I just feel it's easier that way. Since the court house here is closed on a Saturday and our reception is November 11th, we can't get married on that day. All the days available for the place where I'm booking our reception are unavailable, and mostly only available on Saturdays, but I don't mind this. I actually like it. Just means that both October and November will be extremely exciting.

So I'm picking up like 60 stamps tomorrow to mail everyone their invitations since some are family I don't see face to face... just trying to make it easier. Plus I don't mind the cost. I'm just happy stuff is getting done. Then tomorrow when he is done at his medical, were gonna work on a menu for the caterer, even though we don't know the exact number of people who will show up yet, it's good to have a menu of what were gonna have at the reception. I have a DJ sorted out... and now that I'm thinking about everything right now, everything is just about perfect. It's just figuring out what day in October were gonna get married.

I hope you enjoyed my little ramble. This is just my way of staying organized lol. I can come back to this if I get confused or not sure about something. Just a place to have a peace of mind where I can write it here for the world to see. I did literally almost every school assingment this week, so I can also slack off and take some extra time to relax. Just busy, busy, busy. Can't wait to finally cuddle in his arms.

I hope you guys have a good night, and sweet dreams. I'll talk to you all later. <3

I love your posts! They're such a nice little reminders that through all this stress, paperwork and worry that we are all doing this for love. This process can literally suck all the romance out of your relationship it's important to still try to look at this as a process where we are actually marrying our loved ones in a matter of a few months. <3

I think they probably want to discourage us all from calling it seems, I will try to make an emotional appeal in 7 hours when they open. I have no idea if I will get anywhere but like everyone here, no one knows how to plan their lives with no info and its extremely stressful. Did you book with a USCIS local office? It seems like some people get a lot of info from the Tier 2 officers- I wonder what they say to get so much detail. Perhaps I'm not convincing enough...

Awe, thank you! I appreciate the kind remarks. It's very easy to forget this is for love and to become flustured by this process. I just try to stay positive each and every day, because each day that passes us by we get closer to our true love. I know my time will be coming shortly to be in his arms again, just like the rest of the other amazing people here. I wish you peace, love, and happiness as you go through the rest of this journey.

I know how hard it is to maintain your sanity when it comes to this process, but we are strong humans, and we've so far made it this far, we will make it to the finish line and when we do, we will question why we were ever so nervous to begin with. That's what I've been told from many individuals on here. It comes across more scary than what it really is. God bless those that have high fraud countries though. It's a shame that some of us get through quicker while others have to wait longer. I feel for those couples. It's hard enough without that hovering over their shoulders.

I wish you well on the rest of your journey, and a speedy process from here on out.

I think you were probably unlucky with the Tier 2 you got. We've called a few time and last week we got this really helpful guy who told my fiance to call back this week because we should be getting close. It's just discouraging when they all say different things. Yes we booked at the local office... well "local".. He's gotta drive 4 hours to Memphis because the closer offices are not showing availability lol. But hopefully we'll get some answers. Yes try to call today and hopefully you'll get a nicer and more helpful person.

I think if driving 4 hours will lead to answers it will definitely be worth it. If I don't get answers I will have to look into scheduling an appointment just to have some peace of mind. I was definitely suspcious of the supposed "Tier 2 rep" because the call came 20 minutes after closing and I was on hold another 10 minutes.  I hope that answers come for both of us soon, my nerves are on edge!

In our case they sent an email to Matt that they have received our case with the case number, he then emailed it to me for me to bring the printed copy to St Luke's for the medical. That or the interview appointment is needed for the medical.
