Well, you'll always get from then whichever date is shown on their processing times chart as an answer. That's 15th January currently.

Not that calling USCIS is really that helpful unless you talk to a Tier 2 officer, for what I've seen people reporting. And Tier 1 won't always agree in letting you talk to them...

That's the "official" date that they're processing.  If you look up their processing times, they were working on January 15th cases as of April 30th.

 

And yes, the customer service reps really only have the knowledge that you can find online, and often give you wrong information. 

 

Edit:  You can request a tier 2 officer, I have never been denied access to them.  They are usually on a call-back list and they will give you an estimated wait time for your call back.   These are the officers that can give you detailed info.  Some are very,  very helpful and respectful.  There are some that I've encountered are not very nice though!

He said it was a tier 2... guess he wasnt lucky with a very very helpful one. My notice date was April 15th though so ill just wait to see how July goes.

My poor other half tried to call and ask for an update today, he said the tier 2 officer who called back was not very helpful at all. Told him they are still processing the January 2017 applications. Thank goodness for this forum! Not sure what we do if we didn't know that is incorrect!

Tick Tock .. Tick Tock  seems to be how these days are going. lol, hang in there fellow April Filers. Let's not start ripping each other apart now ... we're almost there!! I am patiently waiting the turn about. I am guessing end of next week we will start seeing some come through. It seems to me the weekend people start updating their timelines ... Love the good vibes in your message. I've been seeing quite a bit of bitterness lately around VJ and that somehow gets too me. Patient and positivity are the key here. Some people are better at that than others, same than some get luckier than others... and that's no one's fault.

 

I keep thinking we won't start seeing real movement for us until second week of July. Apart from having 4th of July coming, there's still a lot of March people waiting for their NOA2. Not to mention that was the month (March, I mean) with the highest number of petitions so far. Plus now that we have to wait for the magic letter (yay, feels like Hogwarts! ) in the mailbox, good news take longer to arrive... But yep, I kind of like snail mail, and not only because it makes the wait for the next step look shorter

 

So yep... One day more, one day less... One day closer
