So we just received our NOA2 in the post. We were actually approved on the 7th, hardcopy sent out on the 8th, case tracker updated 11th as well as hardcopy received.

Pretty impressed that it got to NC so quickly from California. Can anyone explain what the alien number on the hardcopy is used for please?

Also my son (k2) petition isn't mentioned on the NOA2, is that normal?

Congratulations on receiving the hard copy!  :)  If I'm not mistaken, it is absolutely normal that your K2 is not listed on the NOA2 as that is part of the beneficiary part of the process... someone more knowledgeable, I'm sure, will weigh in...

Ok, thank you! Seems so strange to complete the G325a form and then his name not be on the NOA1 or NOA2. Makes me very anxious!

I believe since his case is basically attached to yours they just update/mention you and then since he is a minor child it is handled nvc/embassy side.

As they already told you, don't worry about the K2 not being listed there, it will be included at the NVC stage.

The alien number can be used at the affidavit of support and also in contacts with the Embassy, I guess. I'll put mine on the cover letter and in the back of the passport picture. We'll have enough occasion to use it later on for AOS. Exciting *sarcastic mode on... Getting a bit tired of paperwork and proceeding* :P

When you have the  mnl number from the nvc. You can pay the Visa fee at BPI. Print the deposit slip or MRV slip from here http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/pmisdepositslip.htm?amount=265&country=philippines

Then you can schedule the interview here https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/

And when you have the appointment you can schedule medical here

For those processing in the Phils.  Also check out the Philippines regional forum, Hank, Sagot and Greenbaum are experts in this area.  It's hard to go wrong with all the info about the Manila embassy process.  Good luck all!

It moved a bunch today. They updated today with the mail being sent for my RFE today. The one good thing about hiring a lawyer is he will get a copy of the RFE so he will let me know what it says if it shows up before Friday while I am still here in California. If it ends up being an eHarmony IMBRA thing I am going to throttled the lawyer since he said he was going to grab the terms of service for me and send them along.

If it is documents from her that are needed I can get scans and get them to the lawyer to send back pretty fast this way. Fingers crossed that she can still get back before Thanksgiving. She is rather excited to decorate the Christmas tree so want her in town for when it is time to do setup.

Yeah, I'm just being sarcastic; waiting does that to me... I hope you have a quick turnaround and that your NOA2 is right on its heels!!!  :)

I wanted to share where me and my fiancee will be (hopefully :P) spending our honeymoon.

What do you lovely girls think? I think it's absolutely perfect... it's like something from a romantic movie or novel!

I'll just die and go to heaven. I've never been anywhere so sensual or luxurious like this, and the prices are off the wall amazing.

I know it's gonna be expensive, but were leaning towards going there. I really need a vacation. I haven't gone on one in my adult life once.

There's a spa in a 7 foot glass of champage and an awesome pool. God, this is every girls fantasy coming to life. It needs to happen.
