I've just been lurking here for a while, thank you everyone for your positivity and questions. This may seem like a silly question...but how do you know which service center is processing your petition? I have had in my head that our petition was in Texas but I just found my NOA1 Form I-797C again (Ive been moving) and its return address is the California service center. Help?

Hi, all the applications gets sent to CSC from Texas now days. I think the only reason you would have anything other than California is if it was transferred from California again so no need to worry 😊

I did not do this , i will know today, or tomorrow wnen the case will be READY ... then i will tell you ...

i will not shedule the medical in the embassy website, first i will make an appoitment for interview, and when i will know the date of interview , i will shedule the medical exam ...

medical exam must be at least 10-14 days before the date of the interview. You can schedule an appointment of two ways

 (1) by dialing the IOM at (495) 797-8723, 8 (800) 700-8723       or

(2) by registering on the Internet following the instructions in accordance with

   http://moscow.iom.int/ documents /E-Appointment.doc.

sorry,  Jb1 , i gave you the link for Moscow medical, .ups... I thought you need russian appointments ... maybe in Manila you can go right to the medical exam , call them first   ....

the forms are the same.... but  for algorithm for for appointment  of interview and medical exam  probably is slightly different for different countries... Goodluck to you !

Hello all, I posted back in April that I applied on April 24th, noa1 was received I believe on the 2nd of May.

My application is out of the California service center, I guess I'm wondering if anyone else is waiting this long and heard nothing. It's been over 120 days.

Thank you @Estibaliz.  Got nervous once I read that "administrative processing" of @Jeff and Alina. I just got off the phone from NVC and the person on the phone says it will be forwarded "soon" but can't give me any reason for the delay (other than suggesting it is not really late) or specific day.  He said "we got it on August 22nd and we are working on to send it to the embassy.."  (I'm glad they work until midnight Easter time).  And I also asked him if there is anything expected from me and he responded "not at this time.. you will get communication from your embassy once they receive your case" (paraphrased).  Will be waiting again. I am being positive the delay is for something good.

I phoned again this morning and once again advised that our case is in "Necessary Administrative Processing." I have heard everything from it is waiting to be sent out, they are building the file, doing additional back ground checks on the beneficiary, going out any day now to just a plain I don't know. I do know this is no way to treat people. While I understand the government needs to prevent visa fraud, they still ought to recognize that the majority of applicants are genuine and the wait with no information is beyond cruel.

Alina has been so depressed lately and so have I. I hope that once it is sent to the consulate that they will get moving and not come up another reason to delay. Trying to stay positive, really trying . . .

USPS informed delivery shows something coming from NVC today.  Hopefully, good news, that is, our case number, so we can get the ball rolling on the DS-160.

Yep, that's definitely your case number, judging by when you got your NOA2. You don't need the NVC # for the DS-160, they specifically ask for the USCIS receipt number, but now you'll be able to book your medical and interview, since that's how it works for the Philippines.

Congratulations :)

So unfair this is happening and they can't come with an explanation or a realistic time frame. As you say, hopefully everything will fly once it reaches the Embassy.

Good luck!

Thanks.  We are making progress, one step at a time.  Things seem to be moving fast once you get past the Service Center traffic jam.
