Are we the only ones left without approval? Our case was filed April 10, 2017. We're falling really behind. 150th day now! this is depressing :( been seeing cases approved the past days!

No, You are not the only one's left .. and you're not being left behind. The slowdown in July had shifted the times back another month to a month and a half it seems. Don't quote me on that, just on observation I've made. Have you tried calling USCIS? Maybe you will get some good news! :D It's ok to call them ... so give it a shot

oh gosh... lawyer called uscis. I'm pushing for us to call them instead, but fiancé is sick today. Yes I've from the thread that it will be helpful to call them and demand to speak to Tier 2. So we will do that. It's just that it's been raining approvals in this thread the past days and it makes me feel like something's not right... cause we filed ours earlier than those of the others already approved.

Well, I got the RFE Package sent back into CSC this morning. Overnight USPS and Guaranteed delivery by 15:00, so here we go to the black hole again  let the waiting begin all over again, but I am hopeful that we will have the golden ticket soon. Anyone know what time pick up is at the post office? lol

Regardless of pickup time they really do seem to be 1 week to approval after the RFE.

Your file is probably with a slow worker ... I am at 153 days and just mailed my RFE back this morning, I am sure you will hear something here soon, and Hey I get it, this is by far the most frustrating thing but hang in there! Better days are coming at some point. Until then

143 day for me. I am thinking to contact my senator if it doesn't approve in 150 days .You better start contacting your local senator since you are already over processing time limit. Sometime its useful to get help from senator office.

Hey all,

Our case was approved on September 1st .

When should we call the NVC and get our case number? I would be happy if someone can explain to me why getting the case number on the phone is better than waiting for it to come in the mail. This means we can track our case at DOS earlier?

Call after 2 weeks, sometimes 3 before you get the NVC number though. The reasoning is if you have the number earlier you can track to know exactly when it is sent the embassy. It allows you to get in touch with them sooner and schedule things a bit faster. A lot of people in a rush at this point with the holiday's coming up after all.

Thanks for answer.

I thought I'm not suppose to take any actions until packet 3 arrives, am I wrong ?

You can start getting paperwork together for the packet 3, getting things lined up etc. I believe some of the others have more details. What I don't know is if you can get the medical scheduled faster with the number earlier.
