I'm not sure to be honest with you.  I contacted USCIS and they didn't have an approval or an RFE for me. I called the senator, they called me back the next day, and within a few days I received notice that my petition was approved. I think my petition got pulled out after I called USCIS because it was strange that the next day, literally after I called their hotline, it got approved. So maybe, keep trying to call them because I've noticed others getting approvals after calling them. They probably pull the case out or something. Also, it can't hurt to get your senator involved. It doesn't take much time and it really does more good than bad, so I would highly recommend it. If they let you do it, go ahead.

My fiancee got the documents today! So, no more worrying about them getting lost in the post!  Now, we just patiently wait.... can't believe in only a few days we'll find out our interview appointment and schedule the medical. This is so crazy, and I'm flippen nervous, but extremely excited at the same time. I guess it's normal to fear the unthinkable, but more than likely we should get approved. I hope? *overthinking sucks*

My lawyer said, for petitioner is that is what you submit as proof of US citizenship then it has to be a certified copy, so I provided a copy of my US passport, for Wilma we submitted a copy for the 129f but was told that is ok for the petition part but for interview she needs to provide a certified copy or the original.

I am very happy to finally receive some notification that my application has been acknowledged and reviewed and we only have fix whatever they think needs fixing to move forward.  

 

I know it's a bit of a bizarre reaction to be so chuffed about this, and I of course would have been more gleeful if it was an approval, but frankly as an applicant you start worrying that somehow your file got lost at the bottom of a box in someone's desk.

 

Knowing that it's been touched and moving forward is such a fantastic feeling!  

Congratulations although it's an RFE. I can completely relate, at this point I'd take that too lol. Hopefully it's an easy fix and you'll get your NOA2 quickly after!

I only got the notice from the USCIS case status.

Haven't received any email, letter yet, or any other communication.

 

So glad this part of the process is finally over.  Such a tough grind but will be worth it.

Good morning everyone, so I called the NVC and I got my case number. I called at 8:20 am and the lady was super helpful and she said it was very good timing on my part because they just assigned the number at 7:13 am haha I was on hold for about 30 seconds!! 

Also, she mentioned a form DS-260 that I had to fill out but I thought it was the DS-160? What is the difference and which one is the correct form that I have to fill out?

You got that right, it's the DS-160 (Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application) the want we have to fill. K1'S are non immigrant visas, though with immigrant intent.

DS-260 is the one for immigrant visas, like the spousal ones. If you were calling the immigrant line, maybe that's why the lady told you that

Average is around 140-150 currently I believe. Sitting at 141 myself and still no word. Case 2 after ours and 5 after both were approved already. Nothing that can be done but wait and keep your fingers crossed really.

Are we the only ones left without approval? Our case was filed April 10, 2017. We're falling really behind. 150th day now! this is depressing  been seeing cases approved the past days!
