If we don't all get approved soon we will be waiting for God knows how long. If Trump declares war on North Korea he will shut our boarders down until the war is over and there is nothing we can do about it. A very sad truth and war looks very close especially with that F-Tard leader North Korea has. I believe he has brain washed himself into thinking he can take on a super power and win.

I think it takes longer to get an RFE from USCIS than any war with N Korea would take.

probably not an issue.  Operations in Iraq and other venues didn't have an impact on K1's - most likely neither now

I agree with your last war and boarder crossings, however the president at that time did not want to shut down boarders. Under war the president can shut them down no questions asked. As for time in battle who Knows how long the fight will take and who will jump in to assist N Korea or try to back door us when we do go to war.

So we got our RFE letter Friday, 5 days from notice date. They sent it because I included my passport reentry stamps and did not include the identification page of my passport. I thought it was funny because there is no way to associate the two anyway, but an easy fix. So I sent them my ID page and stamps again, including my more recent ones. She happened to be visiting this week so I sent hers as well and written statements from both of us stating we have met in person and describing all of our visits. The statements were suggested as additional proof in the RFE. I also sent some other documentation from a cruise we took together.

So tl:dr; our RFE was simple, but odd. I overnighted it back to them so they will have it Tuesday. Hopefully they get to it quickly!

138 days here. I called USCIS on Thursday. He gave me a "referral number" Said I will be contacted by mail/ Anyone had any luck with this?

Sound like you "may" have a service request number. If you hear nothing in 30 days from last Thursday then you can EMAIL the CSC per below instructions:

USCIS Service Centers

You may email the corresponding USCIS service center with an inquiry related to your case if:

  • You contacted national customer service (by calling the National Customer Service Center or submitting an on-line case inquiry) and a service request was generated;  and
  • More than 30 days have passed and you have not received a response.

The service center follow-up email addresses are:

Note: The National Benefits Center (NBC) in Missouri is not a USCIS service center. For assistance with cases at the NBC, please contact the NCSC .

When contacting a service center, please include the following:

  • Your name and role (for example, petitioner, applicant, or attorney of record);
    Note: We can only provide case-specific information to authorized individuals (for example, petitioners, applicants, and attorneys of record). We cannot provide case-specific information to unauthorized third parties.
  • The petitioner or applicant’s name (if you are not the petitioner or applicant);
  • The receipt number, form number, and type of immigration benefit being sought for the case about which you are inquiring;
  • The NCSC inquiry information, including:
    • The date you contacted the NCSC,
    • The service request number that you were given,
    • If available, the name of the NCSC customer service representative you spoke to, and
    • If you called the NCSC and they informed you they were unable to complete a service request, please provide a brief explanation

Yeah I don't think we will ever close our borders; No suicidal nuke junkie is going to change this country by threatening it. I wish China would just annex NK and take the lunatic out. Problem is too many countries are using NK as a proxy to test Pres's resolve. Unfortunately their puppet is out of their control...I pray for all the people's in the area, mainly for the NK people who never wanted this garbage, or to be seperated from their families in the south.

Good luck, hope the reply back to you is quick.

Funny, how today I was reading about RFE's and uscis internal processing goals.  I used to think that their 'clock stopped' when a file was RFE'd.  The article I read today states differently.  Apparently an RFE is kind of a problem for uscis in that a file waiting for the petitioner to augment with needed evidence is running out the clock on them.  I thought that was cool, and gives them incentive to get back to your file when you reply,,,,,

here's a clip of what I read today.............

<snip>

  • Processing times do not reflect delays due to Requests for Evidence.  A Request for Evidence (RFE) is sent to the petitioner or applicant if the USCIS adjudicator believes the filing is not complete or does not adequately demonstrate eligibility for the immigration benefit. An RFE can result in lengthy processing delays because the RFE recipient has to determine what additional information is needed, gather more documentation, and submit it to USCIS. Recipients have 30 days to respond to an initial RFE and 87 days if the RFE is seeking additional evidence. USCIS states that time to respond to RFEs is included in cycle time calculations, but the agency cannot differentiate between cases with and without RFEs.

So when I talked to a tier 2 person ( like for the 3rd time ) he said ( not sure how accurate it is ) the longer it been for the noa2 to cone, means normally everything is okay.. Said if any RFE's needed, normally would get early.. Not sure what to take on that...

Yep    Time is on your side.  It's inevitable - all you have to do is wait.  But that is an interesting statement that call rep made.  I've seen some 6mos filers get RFE, which is really unfair considering it took uscis 180 days to arrive at that conclusion?

I just KNEW I was going to get an RFE, as I really wasn't sure I addressed IMBRA adequately (I didn't include a TOS).  So when I got an approval, I was dumbfounded and in disbelief.

I suppose the moral of the story is, It's uscis and anything can happen, but a reply eventually is inevitable.  Your really close to approval, if not in the wheel house already.

Hello everybody

around 140 days! hope it is around the corner and this week the approval will come! according the case tracker the case before and the case after our case (number, also for 129f) has been approved!!! fingers crossed for this week!

I was flight back from US last week, and the person seating besides told me she had done this process for her current husband long time ago and it was a "pain" not sure the "pain level" to compare with but guess things hasn't change that much.

Edit: just realized we our VJ estimated timeline is due for a day. It can change of course, but at this moment is due.
