I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but....   Receive Date: 4/5/17 NOA1 Approval: 4/10/17 NOA2 Approval: 8/7/17   Just got it in the mail yesterday!

OMG I just got a notification on my app, we got our NOA2 just now!! It's nearly midnight and I was actually going to sleep but wanted to check something on my iPad and it popped up. So so happy.

Matt said our case has just been received yesterday. Don't know how fast it can go but I'd like to hope for next week. Anyway will be paying the Visa and schedule medical and interview once we have the case #. Hopefully on Tuesday since it's holiday in Us on Monday 😊

Venting is sometimes something you need to do. :) Always someone around to listen. My brother-in-law who is President of the Golf Course in my town came in the clubhouse this morning and had a big venting rant to me about the other board members at the golf course. I work at the golf course part-time because my brother-in-law was stuck for workers and well I like the extra money for my visa.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, and I noticed others disussing reaching out to a congressman, but I reached out to my senator yesterday. I spoke with one of his staff members on the immigration team, and within a few hours, he confirmed that he submitted an inquiry on my behalf. I do not know if that worked in my favor or if this is just a coincidence. I will be calling the NVC in roughly 2.5 weeks to give them some extra time because of the holiday weekend.

 

 

Update! 

 

So I got my NOA2 hardcopy today. Snail mail was more like a rabbit. It was postmarked Aug 30, and I got it today (Sep 3) on the east coast. Anyways, the approval date was Aug 29. So in my case the congressional inquiry did not do anything to expedite my case. It was filed a day after my approval! I do think USCIS updated the tracker because of it though.

 

Hopefully that's some positive news for those still waiting.
