Moved again... I can believe we were so hopeful it was gonna come through when my man was here first week of August as that was the estimated  timeline then. feel like I'll never catch up to it :(

I booked a trip to visit my family in Scandinavia at the end of the month so will try to focus on the day moving closer to seeing my parents and siblings instead of the NOA2, but I'm starting to feel sad..

I am so rooting for you!  You have all of us hear cheering you on to the finish line!

Wow! good to know...but how do you check that?

Under the search bar look up "California Service Center Processing Status". CSC does ALL the fiancé approvals.

It shows a bar graph and the last 15 approvals.

By the way, A_F are still on there, and we love you guys (A_F) but shove a bun hun and move your nice selves down the list and make room for the rest of us already!  Lol

Ok up to 137 days since NOA1 recieved date. Now even the VJ estimator is trolling me.

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between August 26, 2017 and August 31, 2017*.

I will have to see if I can talk to a tier 2 rep today. Leaving on a long business trip and my mail will be stopped for 2 weeks. Really had expected to get the letter well before I left.

Wow, my mom sent me a link about what Santa and the elves do in their magic workshop (USCIS), lol. It's calmed me a bit and wanted to share it even though it was posted from 2007, but i think it's still relevant.

Take note of what they do with "Congressionals".  I am at day 130.  Ive seen how many April 24'thers there are ahead of me!  OMG! I saw one 24'ther that got slipped into the magic box and was just approved!

Congratulations to you all that have made it pass the NOA2 obstacle and praying for the rest of us Aprilites that we do not get left behind in this journey!

My timeline moved like yours yesterday... sigh... I was just discussing with my fiancee about visiting her again if this time passes and seems like it will be even longer.. a year since we've seen each other and it's getting unbearable for both of us... :(

Oh I can't even imagine that...A whole year? Well done for staying strong!! We've been lucky to see each other every 3-4 months so I feel bad complaining now! I'm crossing my fingers for you guys, hopefully good news are not too far away!

Hello Everybody,

have been following this thread for a long time...

feeling kind of 'disgruntled' patience at 140 days since our received date of NOA1 on the 14th of April...

our number finishes in digits 90634

Can someone remind me how many K-1 petitions were there in March and April?

@Martella&T

Im still waiting on my NOA2 too, and I think we are "sisters visas" my case number ends in 90635... Received date April 14th

Let me know if anything changes for you!

Hi guys, I know we're not supposed to start multiple threads on the same topic. I did start this as a new thread under the K1 forum. This is an interesting situation, though, so I thought I'd copy it over to here as well in case anyone had some input because I'd like to get all the feedback I can get. Thanks in advance.

One of my fiancee's friends is also applying for the K1 and they submitted their I-129F. She is also from Indonesia. They aren't on this site, but asked me a question that I do not know how to answer, so I'm posting it here and will share the feedback with them. Their case is on it's way from the NVC to the Embassy; however, while collecting documents for the interview they realized that her birth certificate and passport do not match. She had forgotten about this. The last name was truncated, leaving off the last letter of her last name (first and middle match). She has never legally changed her name, nor is there any effort to deceive the US government, and she has also entered the US before on a J1, but they didn't ask to see both her birth certificate and passport when applying for that. On the I-129F and on all other US govt docs that she has (SSN Card, waiver for two year residency requirement, etc.), the passport name is used because that is the name on the visa that was issued. However, she did have a visa issued with the complete spelling that includes the dropped letter (matching birth certificate), but it was canceled without prejudice and one was re-issued with the truncated version (matching her passport). Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Again I want to reiterate that she has never legally changed her name, it is just presented differently in that it was truncated and they forgot about that part until she went looking for her birth certificate. She also is not trying to deceive the US government in any way, though they (and I) understand that a CO might not care about intent.

Will this be a problem at the embassy interview when the birth certificate and passport do not match? If so, would a simple explanation that her name was truncated for the passport suffice? Would a "one and the same" affidavit that outlines why the names are displayed differently be sufficient? If there would be a problem, would either of those solutions work? Are there other possible solutions?

How could this negatively affect the application? What are the odds that it will be approved?

Congratulations!! Does anyone have any idea if the receipt numbers give us an idea of our "place in line"? Of course i know the NOA1 date is a huge factor, but I'm just curious.. I'm feeling discouraged today and I'm hoping for news soon!
