I remember when I'd wait for weeks to months for that next trip between is-- either him flying here or me flying to Machester.   The weekly countdown was always one of joyful anticipation.  

 

Imagine... his next ticket here is a one way ticket!  (Two way because it's cheaper, lol).  

 

So, with all the prior trips we had wait periods of sometimes MONTHS.  The longest we'd ever been separated was 5 months and that was terrible.  So, when I put this daily waiting in perspective I really have to remember, the next trip here will be his final one.  

 

How much better can life be??

Very well said. I think we do need to put things into perspective some times. Our longest separation was 10 months, so this hasn't been that bad so far... But even ten months is nothing compared to a whole live together.

Specially after I read the post of this May's filer whose fiance was killed in a car crash a few weeks ago... Never seeing your loved one again, that's what it's really hard

I got my case number last week from NVC (Just by calling)  thanks to @Estibaliz's real time timeline update (since we have similar timeline - @Estibaliz rock  for real ).    It still says at NVC.  I just call NVC half an hour ago and the lady told me that it is still at NVC and will send me an email once it is received by the Embassy in Ethiopia.  I did not receive any notification (email+mail) to date.

Omg how awful. 

God, imagine that...

 

I know the process is hard and tedious and sometimes we lose sight of hope and what's important, just trying to get to the next step.

 

What is important is that we have a fiancé who loves us enough to change their entire lives and leave their jobs, their homes, their culture and their families to join ours.  

 

We are the lucky ones.  We have these beautiful partners in all parts of this amazing planet.  All of them willing to take that leap of faith. 

 

All of us are really a testament to the universality of humanity and the tangible reality of true and patient love.  

 

So again I wait, always thinking tomorrow will be our day.  

 

But really, our day is here and now, and every day I am just thankful for the love he gives me, even from 5000 miles away.  Life is just too short to not appreciate what's sitting in front of us, on our phone and computer screens in text and video.  

 

We are the lucky ones.

Hang in there! We feel the same way, but we have to stay positive. I just keep thinking we've all come this far! Its just a matter of time until we hear something.

It started to drain me a lot and I didnt want to be a party pooper on a daily basis lol. I was always here reading though its suuuuuch a relief. I moonwalked , I jumped, I teared up and I was glad as heck. My fiance was probably WAY more happier than me cuz now ill sdfu about it  But aye.. he signed up for all that.

Congratulations to everyone who has received their NOA2 or is even further along in this process!

 

We are hoping for news today or perhaps next week, just have to get Labor Day out of the way first

 

I have been feeling very down and depressed about the waiting but trying to get back to being positive today and thought this may help anyone who is in the same boat.

Thank you, they kept saying that I should not worry and that everything is ok. It is just so frustrating to constantly wait, at least they are friendly.

I have to say, it's kind of easy to notice when people are having a rough time with the waiting, even if they are not around. Of course, there's reason to it  But I'm really glad to see you are a happy Aprilite again 

 

@Tatiana&D.S. Such a masterpiece that embroidery of yours. I think that's a good way to relieve stress and keep yourself busy while navigating through this process. My mom loves cross stitching too... I'm simply too nervy of a girl for anything craft related
