Am I able to call the doctor and make an appointment now or do you believe I need to wait for a reply from the embassy?

I don't know, since this is country specific. There's a bunch of Canada fillers on the Marchies thread, all of them very nice, so maybe ask them :)

For what I recall right now, you have to wait until the tracker shows your case as ready and then email the Embassy with packet 3.

Hopefully someone like @gob332,@Marzena & Stephen, @pajobra

can help you out a bit :)

Hi all,

Wonderful news this morning! My petition was approved as of Aug 30 (yesterday)! I got an email just a few minutes ago, and the case tracker confirms it (see below)! :D:D:D

Hang in there everyone who is still waiting. I can say it's definitely a lot easier to say from this side of the fence, but please hang in there. @Greenbaum offered some wonderful advice on the kind of action you can take if need be. Thank you everyone for all the support and to @Estibaliz for starting this thread. I'm not sure my fiancee and I would have been able to make it through this without all of you!

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, and I noticed others disussing reaching out to a congressman, but I reached out to my senator yesterday. I spoke with one of his staff members on the immigration team, and within a few hours, he confirmed that he submitted an inquiry on my behalf. I do not know if that worked in my favor or if this is just a coincidence. I will be calling the NVC in roughly 2.5 weeks to give them some extra time because of the holiday weekend.

We called earlier in the week and got the usual spiel. I think we may look to contact a senator towards the end of next week if no news. Not sure my sanity can take much more waiting! :) Thanks though and I hope you get your NOA2 soon

Excellent news! Congratulations! :jest:

On this particular case, I think you contacting your senator had nothing to do with your approval. I'm saying this because we've been seeing lately how the date on the hardcopy usually is a day before what the tracker shows... So that would be a day before you contacted the senator :)

In any case, no need to thank me for starting the thread. That was me being a VIP (Very Impatient Person) again, so if it hadn't be me, it would have been anyone else.

Congrats again!

So it seems we have a pretty active tracker today. It just went off for a RFE, Russia, April 6th... I'm wondering if that means good news for our fellow @vcpdragon :)

Hoping to see more good news around here today.

Btw, it's our third anniversary today :oWell, at least one of them (the I love you one). LDR and meeting online make that kind of things happen...

Hope it arrives soon and you can take care of it before flying to see your lovely girl :jest:

Thank you, @mcs Sure it's an important one, though we are not ones to celebrate anything much. I think we forgot about our meeting in person one this year, and that was while I was visiting :P
