Just back from the Philippines and picked up my mail.  Received my petition approval from Homeland Security.  I had e-mailed my US Senator and they contacted USCIS.  Right afterwards I got my approval.  Coincidence?  Now waiting for my case number.  Hope everyone else is  getting good news.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but....   Receive Date: 4/5/17 NOA1 Approval: 4/10/17 NOA2 Approval: 8/7/17   Just got it in the mail yesterday!

OMG I just got a notification on my app, we got our NOA2 just now!! It's nearly midnight and I was actually going to sleep but wanted to check something on my iPad and it popped up. So so happy.

Question, what did you write to your US senator? cause I think I might go that route

August 18, 2017: RFE Sent (Fiance intent to marry letter)

August 25, 2017: RFE Received

August 26, 2107: Evidence Sent

August 28, 2017: Evidence Received (Online Status Update)

September 5, 2017: NOA2 (based on website status update; no mail yet)

September 7, 2017: NOA2 Hardcopy received in US Mail

September 19, 2017: NVC Received case (based on phone call; received Case # and Invoice ID)

September 21, 2017: NVC Forwarded to embassy Manila

I just e-mailed his local office using his website.  Constituent services.  Gave them my info and also had to complete a privacy act notice authorizing them to receive the info from USCIS.  Beleive me, when a US government agency gets an inquiry from a Congressman or Senator they will respond immediately.

Just don't be surprised if your Senator won't check on your case for you. Our senator's website specifically states they won't help check status or deal with federal agencies on your behalf. Can't say that I blame them.

That sounds stupid.  It is constituent services that helps get them reelected.  That's their job.  I would blame them.

Just after I sent this I received an email saying an rfe was mailed yesterday. So happy that it was quicker than the month they quoted. Hoping it's a quick fix and we can get it sent back lickety-split!

"Good" news. It would be great if the mail was there by Saturday, before the long weekend. In any case, it will probably be there Tuesday the latest and, hopefully, just another quick fix.

Day 133 for us today. We are really feeling the stress from all of this waiting now. At the point of thinking our NOA2 is never going to come :(
