I've received my case number from the NVC, not sure when it was issued. Whats the next stage of the visa process. I'm a little concerned as our lawyer is based in Houston and with whats just happened I'm not sure how soon they will be able to get back to the office etc. Do I have to wait for the London Embassy to received paperwork before I complete and send the DS-160 form?

One more update for everyone.  Medical went great on Tuesday, results picked up Wednesday, interview this morning lasted less than 5 minutes, we are approved!  Her passport/visa will be ready first of next week!

Talk about things moving fast after getting the NOA2..  29 days after NOA2, interview is complete.  I really almost can't believe it! For those of you still waiting, just be patient, your time is coming!  It's all worth it in the end.

Сongratulations !!!!!!!!:dance::jest:

one question : it is only for Kiev the medical result is ready the very next day ? in Moscow , new ( from 2016 y)  test  for gonorrhea can be done in 3 days only ... your medical done the next day...wow

Yes, we already finished our DS-160. We're gonna try to schedule a Medical for next week and I'm mailing out my Affidavit of Support tomorrow. We're gonna try to schedule her interview a week after the Medical is done. Is there anything else i need to know?

Have you followed the link to Hanks website and followed the items that are necessary to fly through this process in the Philippines? Most people here are in the same boat you are. They have their "training wheels" on just like you. I suggest you ask those kind of questions in the sub forum for the Philippines where some of us can help you directly or as a group. We have been there and done that and we have followed others who report on their progress and we have been doing it for years. Just our way of giving back to a community that helps navigate the VJ.

Congratulations. :dance: Thanks for the feedback. You have confirmed what I have been saying. You are in control when you have knowledge. And yes the interview is very short and makes you walk away and say "all that stress" for 5 minutes in front of the CO.

Why not head over to the subforum for your country. Lots of experts there to answer questions like that. Need to increase your "family" of contributors to help you mitigate through this journey otherwise you cut yourself short with RFE's. Just saying.

I was being cautious in answering.  I am aware of the steps and requirements going forward through my own research here and elsewhere.  However, I am very hesitant in giving advice and suggestions to others regarding parts of the of the process I have not personally experienced.

Finally done.

Case # assigned from the NVC.

I also do not know if this is a standard e-mail or not but I received this email as well (never requested an expedite)

The U.S. Embassy in MONTREAL, CAN approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your petition to this U.S. Embassy for their action. The Embassy will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview.

Cheers!

Gosh all these NVC stuff and getting everything already done after noa2 is still such a dream to me. I'm jealous! But very happy for everyone getting approved though, of course.

April 6, received date

April 11, notice date

Yup, I think I've just turned from lurker to annoying reminder of noa2 wait lol

I feel your pain!!! It has to happen for us soon! Hopefully since we waited extra long for the NOA2 the rest will go by super fast!
