Hey guys, I just checked the tracker and it said the case status is "READY". Does this mean I can go ahead and schedule an interview already once I pay the visa fee online for BPI (Manila Case). Thanks so much for the help!

Seems like the same question has been asked already. Didn't realize.

Yes, but keep in mind when scheduling a specific date of all the documents still required, the medical, travel, etc. to give you sufficient time to finalize.

Edit:  If you're in a huge extreme hurry, bear in mind that payments take a little bit to post.  Paid before 3pm is supposed to be 4 hours.  After 3pm, it is after the 11am the next business day.

Yes, we already finished our DS-160. We're gonna try to schedule a Medical for next week and I'm mailing out my Affidavit of Support tomorrow. We're gonna try to schedule her interview a week after the Medical is done. Is there anything else i need to know?

USCIS isn't required to give you any information before 5 months is completed.  If a T2 person asked you to call back it's because he himself is looking at the computer screen and it's telling him in very little language that your case is still being processed. Here is a person that is answering the phone all day long from people who are demanding some answers (I take it that you called and was trying to have a civil conversation, I get that) but put yourself in their shoes. Being rude is not something I think he is allowed to but he is human and maybe the person who called before you ran him around so much so that he was not the happiest T2 agent at the moment when you made your contact.

I have been here a few years and have helped a lot of people. I too have been through the wringer once or twice but in the end the system is the system and there is nothing any one of us is going to change.

Having said this I suggest you wait till your 5 months is up. Call back and see what response they will have about your inquiry. If at that time you haven't received a satisfactory reply you can now get out the BIG GUNS and call the Cavalry. Here is how.

First, email the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV "The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems". I've used them and it works.

Second, If that fails then contact your congressman. Here is an entry that someone who is familiar with what happens after contacting your Senator.  Scroll down about 3/4 of the page http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/503722-required-documents-for-muslim-divorce/?page=2 it's very imformative.

Good luck to all of you but keep in mind that this is a process and you can jump up and down and stomp your feet but in the end USCIS still has the gold and he who has the gold makes the rules. Just let this roll. I guarantee you will get your answer sooner than later if you are over 125 days waiting. Timetable now is between 150 and 180 days. Till you reach that window I doubt you will have an answer. I've ridden this horse before!

Thanks for the info, it is good to hear from someone with your expertise. It is people like you that make this site helpful. I know all things are in Gods perfect time so that's when things will happen. Patience, Patience, Patience!

Yep, we got the NOA2 three weeks ago. Yesterday our case changed to "Ready" at the ceac tracker, so I went ahead and emailed my Embassy, but they said they hadn't processed the case yet and they would contact me with the instructions for next steps.

I'm not allowed to do anything until then, so turning myself crazy checking the email non-stop. I might email them again tomorrow, before the holiday weekend :P
